Most 100% cpu are down to graphic cards not being upto the job, hence all the work goes to the cpu.
If you have a nvidia 7800gt then i'm a Monkeys Uncle.

    I got an opinion...

I think that you guys should offer 2 versions of MP: one as it already is, for HW cards and another one for SW cards. It seems that DScaler works fine with my PlayTV BT878 capture card altough I haven't figured how to record sound and fit the imagem scale to fullscreen. One way or the other, you should make that other version of MP.

2 versions arent needed; sw support already exists in RC4, its just not generic like it was in previous versions. If you do what the software card thread says in the hardware forum you can get it working.

DScaler, and many other softwareprograms, works great with my Medion TV-Tuner 7134 MK2/3. Except MP of course...

When will we hear an answer of the dev team?

This thread is almost 2 years old... How long must we wait until SW capture cards are supported ??
With supported I mean that MP recognise the TV-Tuner automatically (like in DScaler).

The Medion TV-Tuner 7134 MK2/3 is very popular (see older posts in this thread), especially in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, ... If you don't support it, you exclude many people. And what is a MP without TV ?

Unfortunately, it isn't so easy to get it work. First, I have added this text in CaptureCardDefinitions.xml:
    mp.gif

    Tuner even works in GraphEdit:
    mp2.gif

Now he find a few channels. But as I watch TV, the screen stays black (audio and teletext works). I have tried many encoders/decoders like DScaler, MPV, Cyberlink, InterVideo, but it doesn't work.

    Now I get some errors:
    Code:
    19/05/2006 10:41:04 6 vmr9: pin:0 not connected:80040209
    19/05/2006 10:41:04 6 vmr9: no input pin 1 found
    19/05/2006 10:41:04 6 vmr9: no input pin 2 found
    19/05/2006 10:41:04 6 vmr9:Dispose
    19/05/2006 10:41:04 VMR9: not active
If I close the TV in MP, then my computer restarts (fatal error). Yesterday, he didn't do that.

If you want, you can view the full MediaPortal.log and vmr9.log.
