I am not clear on how to get blu-ray handler up and running. I have copied the dll files to the proper folder and the plug-in appears. I insert the BD in the drive and nothing happens. I go into myvideos and nothing is listed under the d: drive. I can play BD disk in TMT3 so I know the drive works. How can I navigate the BD to find the correct files to play, or should I receive a popup on the screen in the same way I do when I insert a DVD? Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi
In major plugin created to play blue rays from folders
To trigger it you have to
1 register mpc ts splitter in system
2 add .bdmv extension in video configuration( to show files of this type in mp)
After that you can find and run any bdmv file to start playing a BD disk

PS We have arcsoft bd handler plugin for mp to play bd disks using arcsoft

Sorry I should have posted that I have registered the filters and added bdmv. Should I have both dvd and video tabs set with the MPC codec? If I click play disc I get a message asking me to insert a disc.

I download trailers from the internet with full HD file format. When I click on the .mt2s file the video plays without any issues. So it looks like MP is not seeing the files on the drive. I also have AnyDVD HD running.

The disk I am using is Avatar

    Thanks again,

No, yo can use any suitable codec
" play disk" is only for dvd
To play bd you should go to disk in my videos and run any bdmv file in its structure
To run bd disk like you want from menu is possible only by using plugins such as arcsoft poited above

When I go to the disk in my videos I do not see any file structure. Is this an issue with my drive or MP? I guess that is what I need to find out. Could my antivirus be blocking the files for showing up? I am using bitdefender.

Re: Blu-Ray Handler - configuration issues

I have done a few more test an this is what I have come up with:

If I use AnyDVD HD to rip the BD to the HD I can see the file structure under my videos and play the .mt2s file

If I go to the BD drive (d:) I do not see any file structure. Is this an issues with MP 1.2 alpha?

Even after I rip the material to the HD I still cannot start the movie via the .bdmv (index or object). I receive a the message: Unable to play: index.bdmv

Any further assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Blu-Ray Handler - configuration issues

Here is my log file. And thank you for the assistance.

I did find this in the MediaPortal.log file, but I am not sure how to fix it. As you can see from the top line I have MPC loaded. Which splitter should I be using? I will un-register it and re-register it if I can get this clarified please. Do I need to use a different version of MPC?

BDHandler: Detected 'MPC - Mpeg Source (Gabest)' (1.4.1.2841)
BDHandler: Plugin is disabled because no suitable splitter was detected.
