No, this is not fixed, but this is a limitation for playback, as described in the Wiki:
LAV Video + VC-1 interlaced video does not work with Software Decoding.

yeah i see the wiki link etc but in lav filter video when i chose hardware decoder dxva 2 copy back or native the option says available and so presumed this means the limited gpu of this lappy was capable of hardware acceleration but the same problem still occurs, i may be wrong but just trying to help.

I don't know exactly but I think there was some rumour that it only works with CUVID as hardware acceleration (you need a Nvidia GPU for that).

If your GPU supports hardware acceleration, it should work. In your case you can either choose 1 of the DXVA2 modes, or you can use Intel QuickSync (which should even be faster than DXVA2). Just make sure you UNcheck the option in LAV Video Config "Use Microsoft WMV9 DMO decoder for WMV3 and VC-1" which you can find on the bottom of the 'Formats' tab.

The only option i could find was in the formats tab and codec wmv3 windows media video 9 and then vc1 smpte vc-1 is it these you mean to uncheck?
i used moving pictures and it plays the blu ray straight away, just testing a bit more without using it too see if i can get it working[DOUBLEPOST=1351887178][/DOUBLEPOST]update ok i have found that i do not need the hardware acceleration on at all, if i just uncheck the option under formats "Use Microsoft WMV9 DMO decoder for WMV3 and VC-1" which i have now found (blind as a bat me), then the bdmv file structure for johnny english now plays through mediaportal just fine with no extras ie moving pictures.

    hope this helps someone :)

If VC1 didn't work correctly with DXVA LAV Video fallback to software mode where we can use 2 mode :
    ffmpeg (with WMV9 unchecked)
    WMV9 (checked)
    BDReader didn't work with WMV9.

So in your case it fallback to software but in this mode only VC1 will work and not VC1i (interlaced) because ffmpeg can't handle VC1i (only WMV9 mode or Hardware acceleration like CUVID / Intel Quicksync)

    :p

    Hi,

I am using MP 1.3 beta (great release!) and cannot play VC-1 Blurays using the internal BD player. I did try to check/uncheck the checkbox in LAV "Microsoft WMV9 DMO decoder for WMV3 and VC-1". If I use the old BD Handler these BR play fine through LAV filter. This happens with two different clients and all my VC-1. I must confess, that I did rip these BR with TS Muxer to harddisk as BR, perhaps this is the problem. But ripped H264 vids do work.

    LOGs attached. Interresting parts:
