Hi Mirk, I really like the picture seen in List layout, but I don't expect to see the picture when in any other layout which I do e.g. icons, filmstrip.

Not related to beta:

* When you minimize video and return to full screen from the home screen (only way I know off from a remote control) then you see an overlay of the home screen on the video.

This is exacly the bug i have been talking about. The visibel tag has been ignored.

I dont realy understand what you meen. On the MSC remote you can use small red button to toggle beween minimized and fullscreen tv/video.
The picture looks like you have pressed the button in the middle with the rectangel, which will make the overlay background.
If this happends when you press on the remote. I think that button is mapped to make the overlay as the background.
Anyway is does not sounds like a skin bug.

Beta tester needed.

I have added a nice new IMDB information feature to my videos, but i have an issue that also might be connected to the basic home issue there the basic home "wheel" get messed up sometimes.

The issue and details how to reproduce it can be found *here*

I just want to see if more than me can reproduce it.

I have just nocied why alot of people has not been able to make the IMDB animation to work.
I did a fresh install on a other computer and i noticed that you need to have so mush films added so the spincontrol show up.
Maybe another bug fund ?? It seems like the <onright> tags does not work until the list is full and the spincontrols show up.

Thanks Mirk, I never realized that there was button on the remote I could use to toggle fullscreen

I've only used Media Portal for a few weeks now so just coming to grips with the functionality.

At least your not alone on the visible tag issue, keep us informed.

Ahhh, I think that's also why it wasn't working for me then, only had 3 or so movies set up for testing. I'll check this tonight.

Weird problems

I have some weird problems. I am not able to use any newer version than "SpinSafe Revolve Skin 070501 1855". I have tried with latest MP 0.2.3.0 RC1 but no difference. First of all I can not start MP with newer version of Spinsafe activated. It starts up with MP splash screen, but I never see MP. All I get is Windows background which is totally locked until I force MP to exit with ALT+F4. When I start MP with another skin and change to Spinsafe from MP internal settings it loads but weird graphics. The homescreen usually is OK but for example the "X" for turning off MP and other icons are totally misplaced. See attached image.

When I enter a for example My Movies all I see is more or less the upper left corner.
This is the same no matter which part of MP I enter. Sometimes even homescreen is the same. See attached image.

The images I have is created at 1024x768 but I am running my "real" MP at 960x540 which is a widescreen res but unfortunately with the same result.

Am I missing something or is this a bug!?

Haha! I feel so stupid! I was so sure I was the only one with this problem so I didn't even think of reading the FAQ which of course should be the first thing to do.

I have another question. I don't know if this is a MP setting or a skin issue. When I view movies in filmstrip mode the zoomed in movie cover is only the thumbnail upscaled to a bigger picture. I have set thumbnails to be the biggest possible size but that is still quite low res. When I go to the IMDB page I get a good highres picture. And from the screenshot I have seen in different posts here everyone seems to have the highres picture also in the filmstrip view. How do I get the filmstrip to use the nice highres picture?
