SSD recommendation (3 Viewers)

keep in mind if u use SSD's in Raid 0 then u dont get TRIM. ..but recent OCZ Vertex II HAVE good enogh GC (garbage collection) that it doesnt really matter anymore about TRIM

or so i hear

im quite keen on getting a 60G SSD soon for my MP PC and then a "RevoDrive x2" 120GB for my my games PC (which runs the MP TV server) ..along with the 2x 500GB sata2 regular HDDs for storage that are currently being used for the OS for the 2 PC's

it was my plan all along ..it really was..

Hi there,

If want a decent SSD (non PCIe card) then look at STEC or Pliant (massive overkill for a HTPC)

I'll have an array of 10 pliant drives soon to play with...IOPs anyone?

ps - Agree with the above, GC is getting better nowadays... so TRIM is less important on certain drives.
