Only the Stock Ticker is show on my BasicHome. I read the documentary and take a look at the stocks.xml, but i dont find my failure. Could you give me an advice, please?

Hi Scrounger,
it's not your failure, because Stocks&Indices does not publish all properties globally. All values will be only refreshed completely, if the main window is open.
The implementation of "global property support" is easy, but it costs more performance (and can affect the TV or video playback). If you would like to use it, a next version can be include this feature.

thx for your answer. For the beginning the Stock Ticker will reach. It would be nice to have the "global feature", but I can wait for the next Version

Is it possibile to add more than 10 Stocks in the next Version ?

the updated version v0.5.0 of this plugin is ready for downloading.

Informations for users:

• The requested property and multiple page support was added and the ticker configuration was enhanced.
• Please be aware, that you need updated skin files to run this version properly.
• For more informations, please take a look into chapter "Settings" of attached manual.

Informations for skinners:

• Indices: IDs changed from 10-19 to 100-109, IDs 110-119 added
• Stocks: IDs changed from 20-29 to 200-209, IDs 210-219 added
• Portfolio: IDs changed from 30-39 to 300-309, IDs 310-319 added
• Currrencies: IDs changed from 40-49 to 400-409, IDs 410-419 added
• Portfolio Summary ID changed from 50 to 500

Hi Micropolis,

the plugin works fine. I created a Stock sidebar for BsaicHome Menu.


I found a little bug. If you go into the stock menu (stock.xml) and go back to the basic menu, it will show only the selected index / stock / ... that you have selcted in the stock menu (screenshot 2)

(MP 1.1 RC2, Win 7)



Perhaps in the next version, you can ramove the quotes around the Percent Values and give them red or green color ?

I am trying to add stocks to my portfolio, however I can only add prices up to 100.00 and I need to enter a price of 466.00 (the stocks are currently showing as 572.00 online)

Hi Micropolis,

i will explain the problem in german

1. MP starten, Top3 Indicies und die ersten 10 Aktienkurse werden im Basic Home angezeigt (Screenshot 1).
2. Aufrufen des Stocks Plugins, dann z.B. wechsel auf die Aktienkurse.
3. Zurück zum Basic Home wechseln, nur die Aktienkurse werden noch angezeigt, die Indices nicht mehr (Screenshot 2).

D.h. wenn man irgendwann im Stock Plugin die Stocks, Indicies, Protfolio anwählt, werden auch nur diese im Basic Home angezeigt, ist zumindest bei mir so

I have 2 ohter Ideas for next version perhaps:

1. Perhaps it is posssible to give out the stock ticker as an rss feed, then it's possible to use it with the Info Service plugin and its easier to implement the plugin in a lot of diffrent skins (Basic Home / Home Menu).

2. A pin code for the Portofolio, because a lot of my friends use my HTPC and i dont want that they know my wealthiness
