since we are talking about music displays .. am I the only one who doesnt see the song title/artist when listening to online music streams?

It's probably because there is no mymusicgenres.xml included. That xml file does artist / album views etc..

the guy who did the xfactor mods is in holiday in japan, maybe when he comes back. i spent a few hours on it but i didn't get anywhere and gave up. i got a little done but progress was too slow and girlfriend will kill me!

I've obtained/created some new hover images but they seem to only occupy the top two thirds of the screen with a portion of the original hover image (the one used for settings and plugins) occupying the remaining third.

I have made all the replacement images 1280x720 as the originals were, and I've deleted the StreamedMP cache folder in "...\All Users\App Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\cache" (which was needed to make them appear at all...).

I've had this problem with the last couple of releases, and currently using 0.4.298.

Any idea's?

EDIT: I had the same issue. I changed the following setting to "no" in myHome.xml:

<hoverX>0</hoverX>
<hoverY>0</hoverY>
<hoverWidth>1280</hoverWidth>
<hoverHeight>720</hoverHeight>
<hoverKeepAspectratio>no</hoverKeepAspectratio>

I have attached the custom backgrounds I'm using for my various menu items for those who might be interested. (You'll have to rename some of them according to the appropriate hover filename conventions when you drop them in).

Also, if anyone wants a custom "Movies" background, like the one with the custom 20th Century Fox logo below that says "Hogwarts Theater Presents," please send me a PM and I'll do my best to make one for you -- just be sure to tell me what you want it to say. I also attached the raw image I used to make mine, so those who are savvy with photoshop can do their own if they wish.

In the 2nd post of this thread someone posted a modified myhome.xml and fonts.xml so you can use the myhome generator from mediastream. The advantage of myhome from mediastream is it runs faster, the disadvantage is that you can only have 1 image per menu item. I have created a better version of myhome.xml to work with mediastreams myhome.xml generator. My version uses the existing fonts.xml, if you change streamedmp's fonts.xml file then you will break the skin in certain parts, so if you want to use StreamedMP with the myhome.xml from Mediastream then use this file instead and leave the original fonts.xml file alone.
