Fullscreen revisted...

Hi,

Based on comments and have made some changes to the Fullscreen, before I add them into the archive I thought I would ask for some feedback from those of you that use this version.

Changes.

• Removed module name from the top and just left the time.
• Moved the menu on a side menu (Changes required to configuration - read below)
• Moved the progress bar and EQ, VU meters down (are these wanted/required in a full screen version?)

Important Configuration Change Required

This version needs the Disable internet lookups for best albums and Disable internet lookups for track suggestions ticked in MediaPortal Configuration. These can be found in Music->Now playing tab.

If you dont do this the menu may fail to function correctly.

UPDATE: Fixed an issue with browse music button - was hyperlinking to the wrong ID.

I really like that clean style! great.
comments:
-i prefer the complete "now playing" bar at the top.
-why do you use the equalizer gif instead of the real VU-meter? (either vu or nothing, the animation gives absolutely no extra info...)
-i don't like the menu arrow. each user should know how to get there (alternatively take it down to the bottom where it will not disturb that much).

Guess I can make the bar selectable, the EQ was just the version I showed - I normally use the LedVU but test against the eq version as that is all you have in MP1.0.2. You are right shows nothing useful but adds some movement, again might make that selectable (well contrlled by a <define> tag.

The menu arrow is part of the touchscreen support now used for hidden menus, will look at moving it.

Hi, thanks for this work, very good.

Probably something i'm doing wrong but on the fullscreen fanart version I have no Search button and the Browse Music button takes me to my current playlist instead of my music collection, the same as the Current Playlist button obviousy does.

Do you plan to make new files for other pages in the future, I would like to see fan art pulled up on the Lyrics screen and the shares view, I would use the album or artist view but despite all my music being tagged correctly some albums just refuse to show up at all in those views and it's not ideal for compilation albums.

The search button links to Global Search will only appear if you have this plugin installed & to confuse things it has to be the version that calls it's self 'Search Music', 1.7 is the latest release and can be found in this post.

Seems I made a typo in the fullscreen xml and tried to send the link to screen ID 50 n ot 504, will fix in the main archive but the corrected .xml is attached.

I will also update the Menu test version as this also had the bug.

Lyrics is easy and will drop a verson into this thread, I dont think fanart hander can deal with shares view, best I can do there is random art - pretty sure that is the case.

MyLyrics fanart file

As people have asked here is the MyLyrics.xml file, it does rely on an include file supplied with NowPlaying Mods...

Re: Full screen version, My opinions

TITLE BAR/CLOCK - I think only having the clock looks much better. I think it's good to not have the MUSIC/NOW PLAYING text

SIDE MENU ARROW - I think this is good and doesn't need to be at the bottom, however i would move it to X POS = half way down

SIDE MENU TEXT - I think the text should be

JUMP TO
 - Browse Music
 - Current Playlist
 - Search Music
 - My Lyrics

EQs / VUs - These are not needed fullscreen, but they still look ok, option to pick which one, or none would be cool.

TRACK + YEAR TAGS
Currently it looks like this

 TRACK: 103       | YEAR: 2003

I would change it to

 TRACK: 103   |   YEAR:2003

OVERLAY - When you've finished editing the mod, i might send you a different overlay, one that has a slight brightness in the centre of the bar.

Example overlay with centre 'brightness' (click to view) -

Trevor, do you have an issue with My Lyrics plugin ?
I have installed last SVN 24859 and i think it started @ 24828 but i'm not sure, so like you made change for lyrics.xml, i ask you if you try it
Maybe it's something other, maybe it's appear when double bar progress has been fixed.

Also for progress bar appear in this version we have to add :

<label>#percentage</label>
<visible>player.hasmedia</visible>
