I must be missing something, exactly what directory do the files go?

Is it possible for you to update the first post with installation instructions?

Very nice library. I do have one suggestion:
some sites (like podnapisi.net) provide additional information for some subtitles, like HD, For Hearing impaired, releases the subtitle is syced for, etc..
It would be nice to have those additional information available in subtitle class.

Btw, is project opensource?

Good suggestion although I haven't found personally use for this extra info. Some providers have all this information in the file name, others provide less information. The project is not open source at least not yet.

just wanted to submit a very small bug.

the scenario is:
a movie consisting of multiple files (2 files 2x700 mb)
file1 is located on HD1
file2 is located on HD2

now when grabbing subtitles the .srt files (for both movie files) will end up at HD1 only.
so when going to playback file2 there are no subtitles.

Probably problem of SubCentral instead of SubtitleDownloader since SD doesn't make any decision where the files are finally saved after search & download.

Example movie, language, provider etc. settings would help again...

For me that's essential (and that's how I made my podnapisi.net scraper). In your project it wouldn't have to be any large change in code base. Simply put some sort of string list/array in Subtitle class, and than ISubtitleDownloader implementing class will fill in all additional info: HD, Hearing impaired, ReleaseName='CHD',...

Existing apps that use library can simply ignore it if they don't need it.

I have problems to download subtitles from podnapisi.net.

I'm using subcentral which uses subtitledownloader.
The plugin founds subtitles but it is not possible to download them when they are from podnapisi, other websites working fine.
I get the error message: "Error downloading subtitles: No download link found for subtitle!"

Logs are attached.

(I have a similar post in the SubCentral forum. The developer advised me to post it here, too)

Podnapisi download is broken yes, already fixed in SubtitleDownloader 3.0.1 which should be out soon.
