Subtitles won't show playing .vob files (1 Viewer)

This is my first post, I'm new to MP, so bare with me if I ask stupid questions. It is not easy for a first timer. I have read the forum and searched for a long time, but cannot find the sollution myself.

I have problems getting my subtitles to show when I play my .vob files. I can see that MP know there are subtitles since the 'subtitle-icon' is showing, but I don't get to the subtitle OSD where you choose what subtitle to view. The only thing that shows is a bar where I can set the delay of the subtitles. If I e.g. play a matroska(.mkv) file with subtitles the subtitles will show, but I still cannot get to the subtitle OSD.

How do I get my subtitles to show when playing .vob files (no .ifo file or anything) and how do I get to the subtitles OSD?

I'm using DirectVobSub as subtitles engine.

Perhaps there is someone that can point me in the right direction. I'm new to this, but I have tried to create a log and uploaded it. Don't know if that is to any help.

Why you don't use MPC-HC as subtitle engine? I think with that .vob subtitle should work.

I have tried that too. Same thing. No Subtitles with the MPC-HC Engine either.

Are you sure the .vob file has subtitles then? Do the subtitles show with other players? (WMP, VLC..)

In the Dialog popup where you can also choose Audio Language is there also a subtitle item?

Yes I know there are subtitles in them. I'm moving from a Pinnacle Showcenter to a HTPC and have everything stored in .vob files. There are thousands of films and series. Everything in .vob files, since I thought it was a neat container to store video sound and text streams in one file. With the "Pinnacle" I just pressed a button on the remote to swap.

I don't get the dialog popup to show in MP.

While you playing the video click right mouse button then you should get to the dialog.

Oh, so that is the popup where there should be a subtitle choice. Yes I get the popup (thought it was a different one), but there is no choice for subtitles.

Thats strange. Could you maybe post the mediainfo from that .vob file here?
