That is great news. I have to look into that to see if I also can get it to work. Thanks for helping me out. I think I will have some more time to spend on this now. So let's see if I can get it to work. I'll come back with questions for sure! :)

Perhaps a dumb question, but could the skin you choose have anything to do with, or affect, the decoding/different engines?

(I'm sorry I haven't been active in the thread lately. I had a major disk crash due to a lost disk array in my 'disk box'. Lost about 1,5TB that I didn't have space enough to back up. It took me almost two weeks to restore the rest of the data from all the different backups and storages. Well, well, I only lost all my series... It could have been worse. I didn't loose any family pictures or movies, and I 'm greatful for that.)

    /Daniel

    Hi Daniel :)

Normally skin didn't affect decoding :)
I will upload a build version of lav for testing :)
Sorry about your disk array and happy if all is ok now :)

    I'll try it right away!

Just to be sure on how to install...

I run the batch files to register the .ax files, but where do all the dll's go? Where should I copy them to do a correct install?

I'm new to this you know. :)

    /Daniel

yep fire up the batch files, just extract all files in a folder of choice like "c:\codec\laffilter" and start batch :)

I first installed version 0.37 (I think it was) then I extracted everything(your link) to the created folder(from the installation), ran the batchfiles, went to the setup an choose MPC-HC as subtitle engine.

    Still no go.

Is there any other setup or config i need to do aswell?

I can activate subtitles but nothing is shown. There is no menu option of subtitles in the popup menu where I e.g. can change/choose the audio track.

    /Daniel

I forgot to mention I run x64 win7, if that can have anything to do with it...

    hi,

You can install 0.37 and after replace existing file by the one from the archive, i will backup now my build, maybe the one i post didn't have the fix.

I just test the filter with MPC-HC engine and it's ok :)

I'm on win7 x64 too, can you post log ?
    Thanks :)

Still no go with your files. There must be someting else I am doing wrong...

    I have attached a logfile!

    In the logfile I:
Started MP, went to movies, started the movie (actually resumed it), opened the first popup where you activate subtitles, activated, popped up the menu where the subtitle choice should be (no subtitle choice), closed the popups (subtitles still active), no subtitles in the movie, closed MP.

I hope I did the logfile correct. I don't know how to read it myself... yet! :)

    Thanks,

In log LavSplitter didn't detect subtitle inside the vob. Can you upload that sample or a part of it ?
    Thanks :)

It is the same movie that I have already uploaded! I can do a new log with the exact same part of the movie that I uploaded, but it should be the same.

Could it be any other settings in the subtitle tabs that I have configured wrong? Remember I'm new to this. Perhaps it could be something real simple that I'm not aware of...

    2011-10-23 21:20:47.861121 [Debug][MPMain(1)]: VideoPlayer: FoundStreams: Type=Subtitle; Name=S: vobsub, Filter=LAV Splitter, Id=4, PDWGroup=2, LCID=0
    2011-10-23 21:20:47.861121 [Debug][MPMain(1)]: VideoPlayer: FoundStreams: Type=Subtitle; Name=S: vobsub, Filter=LAV Splitter, Id=5, PDWGroup=2, LCID=0

Maybe it's not lavsplitter that was in use.
