If you have Voddler already, you may want to ask for MediaPortal support in their forum. I know they plan on porting it to as many platforms/Media apps as possible, including MediaPortal and even PopcornHour!

MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback.
