Please do not let this great plugin be left in the dust! Can someone with the right knowledge please continue and modify it to work also with the flash-videos?
Replacing playOk = g_Player.PlayAudioStream(url, true); with playOk = g_Player.Play(url); in private bool PlayTrailer(string url) and disabling vmr9 for web streams should do the trick (if you have flv player from onlinevideos or mplayerplugin installed)
I am guessing this has to be made in the source somewhere, but I have no knowledge on how to recompile it afterwards. Can you maybe be so kind to do it and post the file here?
Someday when the day has more hours and the kids are somewhat older I will learn how to make plugins...
Should work with flash if you have the flv player from onlinevideos, or mplayerplugin. VMR9 must be DISABLED for webstreams.
Hopefully MrMad will come with further improvements soon.
I cannot stop or exit the video playing, I have the same problem in Onlinevideos so I guess the problem is there?
The playback compared to just watching SVT Play in IE is not the same quality. It seams like it is 15 fps or something and not as sharp. Can I change something to fix this?
Once again thank you, it is plugins like SVT Play, Onlinevideos that makes MP really intreresting. Hopefully there will be plugins for Joost and TV4 anytime as well!
You could try mplayerplugin instead of flvplayer, that should fix the stop and exit issue(and give osd too). How quality is compared to flvplayer I'm not sure about.
Hi again, haven't had time until now to try MPlayer. I did not get it to work, it will not play the file if I disable FLV-player. I have added .flv to the extensions in MPplayer but no help. What must more be done?
I hope this plugin is'nt just left to die, I for one would love to see a new version for MP 1.0 RC1 and later
Or maybe someone could tell me how to get it to work with that version?
I cant find all the settings decribed in this post, the most important one "use wmr9 for webstreams"
"use vmr9 for webstreams" : In mediaportal configuration: "DirectShow Filter Control" -> "Video Renderer Settings" --> Video Mixing Renderer 9 (VMR 9) --> Use for playback of web streams (enables OSD menus)
