In other words, HcwHelper does get commands that are not zeroes. It just doesn't pass them to MediaPortal because it doesn't recognise them as Hauppauge remote commands.

Please try the attached patched versions. These should finally allow MP to learn your remote. Once the buttons have been learned, you can supply the mapping for us to include in future versions of MP.

I am so excited about having these patched files that allow me to have the system learn codes sent by this Hauppauge remote. The learning process goes through two cycles for these keys. Unfortunately, it crashes during the second cycle. I am attaching the logs and a screen capture of the error message. Any help will be appreciated.

This code seems to be pretty poor.
Please update RemotePlugins.dll again with the attached patch and let me know if it helps.

Positive results to report. The remote Learn function works. I'll just need to fine tune it a bit for speed so it doesn't respond too fast.
It is still crashing often. I'm attaching log files for your review.

A side issue is EPG updates. I am running zap2xml and receiving this error:

I've never tried zap2xml, maybe you should try just running another download, go to the webpage and see if it is still setup correctly, report error/problem to the zap2xml programmer so they can look.

With MP1 v1.12, I just cleared my EPG data and the complete guide shows "no data", clicked on a channel and it tuned to the correct channel, video/audio worked etc. So MP1 works ok without EPG, but obviously you want to get EPG running to avoid a back to the 70s timewarp.

zap2xml is completely outside our control.
"500 Internal server error" suggests the issue is on Zap2It's side.
I would note that I just tried those links in a browser and they don't come up with anything. Not even an error. So, perhaps just try to run zap2xml again.

Can you describe what you're doing that isn't working in detail?

I apologize for my late response. It's HcwHelper that's crashing. (picture attached).
I'm enclosing the mapping but please consider it preliminary as I need to test it fully and tweak as necessary.

Thank you for your patience with my clumsy efforts to provide info. I'll avoid uploading pictures and explain a little better.
HcwHelper crashes every time I exit after running MediaPortal Configuration tool and trying to program/learn the remote. The Learn function has also stopped responding to button presses.
