We're switching MediaPortal 2 to Visual Studio 2010 this weekend. That means it cannot be opened with Visual Studio 2008 anymore.

What is about people who use also MP 1. Do we then have to convert it everytime or will MP1 also switched to VS2010?

Would be nice to run both without converting the projects every time.

We are evaluating what is the best approach for MP1.

    Simone,

last SVNs of MP1 TvLibrary are no more compatible with Visual Studio 2008.
Have you finally switched to Visual Studio 2010 ? Can I upgrade my dev environment to this version ?

    thanks,

Sorry guys, but I'm quite busy with RL those days (weeks, months).

Yes we definitively switched to VS2010 all C# and C++ projects for MP1 as well.

If you’re planning to submit a pull request, let’s go through the list of issues and their solutions. I or someone from the team will create a Jira ticket, and for each ticket, you’ll make the changes and submit a pull request. This will be transparent and straightforward.

Hi. I was probably being a bit fast and loose with my terminology. I meant "somewhere within the files that MP2 uses in its database". Anyway, I found a way to do this which was far from automated but relatively low effort. I found what looked like all the images (CD covers, DVD covers, backgrounds etc all lumped together in...
