Hello and welcome! :)
Yes, it should do. Post your log files and describe the problem(s) if you want help:
http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_MEDIAPORTAL_1/16_Support/3_Forums/2_Log_Files

Thank you!

I will do this if problems persist. Since I'm totally new on all this I really don't know what the patch does and doesn't do so it's kind of hard for me to pinpoint the problem..! But currently the problem seems to be related to cam or antenna rather than software/drivers. If I can rule out hardware I will post a log file.
(Current problems are no signal on mux 6 which seems to be hardware related and encrypted channels not working which seems to be hardware or software.)

I can confirm that the 1.6 patch works fine also with MP 1.9 and TBS 5881:)

Ok - ty!

Don't be afraid to ask for help! We can save a lot of time and frustration if you let us assist you. Even now I'd be happy to look at log files... :)

    In case it helps...

Could be hardware, but if it is only one mux then I suspect it is more likely to be incorrect tuning details or some such thing.

...and encrypted channels not working which seems to be hardware or software.
Most often issues with encryption turn out to be a configuration, CAM, smartcard or subscription issue.

Tuning details for mux 6 has been wrong before in mp, im located in sweden as well. I will post the correct values when I get home. I updated them manually myself some timeago

I only have it for one transmitter. I thought that a swedish guy that gave me the tuning details were going to submit the update for all transmitters, he usually does when they change. I will contact him.

    Ok - here it goes.

Checked frequency and it seems to be correct.

Noticed that 5881 status led turns red when scanning mux6 - otherwise blue when scanning.

Can't watch any encrypted channels at all on the tbs 5881 atm...

I've experimented with a lot of different settings under server but result stays the same...

As soon as I put the cam with card in my tv connected to the same antenna, I can watch the encrypted channels. No hd channels are found though - but my TV only has dvb-t support, not dvb-t2.

    Hello again :)

Checked frequency and it seems to be correct.
Hmmm, it seems you're scanning with the Vännäs Granlundsberget file which has the following frequencies:
    • 682000 kHz
    • 706000 kHz
    • 754000 kHz
    • 594000 kHz
    • 722000 kHz
    • 786000 kHz
    • 618000 kHz
This page seems to verify 5 of those frequencies:
    http://fmscan.org/ml.php?r=f&t=6800409

This one verifies all of them:
    http://www.teracom.se/Sandarinformation/Hitta_ratt_tv_mast/

If we assume that the frequencies are right, maybe your signal strength/quality is not good enough.

The tune process for transmitter 6 (786 MHz) is taking almost 5 seconds:
    [2014-10-10 21:24:00,780] [Log ] [13 ] [INFO ] - dvb:confused:ubmit tunerequest calling put_TuneRequest
    [2014-10-10 21:24:05,640] [Log ] [13 ] [INFO ] - dvb:confused:ubmit tunerequest done calling put_TuneRequest

Compared with the other non-HD transmitters the is very slow. They take about 400 ms:
    [2014-10-10 21:23:30,092] [Log ] [13 ] [INFO ] - dvb:confused:ubmit tunerequest calling put_TuneRequest
    [2014-10-10 21:23:30,483] [Log ] [13 ] [INFO ] - dvb:confused:ubmit tunerequest done calling put_TuneRequest

The other HD transmitter takes almost 2 seconds to lock:
    [2014-10-10 21:24:21,469] [Log ] [13 ] [INFO ] - dvb: RunGraph
    [2014-10-10 21:24:23,141] [Log ] [13 ] [INFO ] - dvb: LockInOnSignal ok

(That is quite close to the default 2 second timeout, so maybe it would also help to increase the tune timeout setting:
    http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_...n/TV-Server_Configuration/06_General#Scan_Tab
    )

...so, I suspect the tuner can detect the transmitter 6 signal, but it isn't quite good enough to lock properly.

Noticed that 5881 status led turns red when scanning mux6 - otherwise blue when scanning.
Yes, red means "no signal"; blue means "locked on signal".

Can't watch any encrypted channels at all on the tbs 5881 atm...

I've experimented with a lot of different settings under server but result stays the same...

Well, the tuner detects the CAM:
    [2014-10-10 21:23:16,717] [Log ] [13 ] [DEBUG] - Turbosight: supported tuner detected (USB interface)
    [2014-10-10 21:23:16,717] [Log ] [13 ] [DEBUG] - Turbosight: open conditional access interface
    [2014-10-10 21:23:16,717] [Log ] [13 ] [DEBUG] - Turbosight: is CI slot present
    [2014-10-10 21:23:16,717] [Log ] [13 ] [DEBUG] - Turbosight: device does have a CI slot
    [2014-10-10 21:23:16,717] [Log ] [13 ] [DEBUG] - Turbosight: open conditional access interface
    [2014-10-10 21:23:16,733] [Log ] [13 ] [DEBUG] - Turbosight: interface handle 134742016
    [2014-10-10 21:23:16,733] [Log ] [13 ] [DEBUG] - Turbosight: interface opened successfully
    [2014-10-10 21:23:16,733] [Log ] [13 ] [DEBUG] - Turbosight: is CAM present
    [2014-10-10 21:23:16,733] [Log ] [13 ] [DEBUG] - Turbosight: result = True
    [2014-10-10 21:23:16,733] [Log ] [13 ] [DEBUG] - Turbosight: is CAM ready
    [2014-10-10 21:23:16,733] [Log ] [13 ] [DEBUG] - Turbosight: result = True

I saw that you tried to tune one encrypted channel in the latest log:
    [2014-10-10 21:31:22,145] [Log ] [20 ] [DEBUG] - card: user: PC1:4:-1 tune DVBT:tv:TV4 AB TV4 Film Freq:706000 ONID:8945 TSID:1022 SID:1130 PMT:0x46A FTA:False LCN:34 BandWidth:8

    The result was:
    [2014-10-10 21:31:22,623] [Log ] [20 ] [INFO ] - card: WaitForFile - waiting _eventAudio & _eventVideo
    [2014-10-10 21:31:37,624] [Log ] [20 ] [INFO ] - card: WaitForFile - no audio was found after 15,0009766 seconds
    [2014-10-10 21:31:37,624] [Log ] [20 ] [INFO ] - card: WaitForFile - audio and video stream is scrambled

This is a standard CI CAM, right? Not CI+/CI-Plus (like Boxer)?
There are no PC tuners which support CI+ and pairing, so if the CAM is a CI+ CAM then it probably can't work. Especially if it has to be paired with the hardware.

Otherwise, it is possible that the CAM needs more time to pick up the activation. Try to tune one of the free channels on the same transmitter (eg. UK TV6, TV4 Fakta, or TV4 Umeå) and leave for an hour or so. Then try to change to TV4 Film and see if it works.

    Regards,
    mm

    Hello :)

Do we still need to install this patch for 1.9.0?
Yes, you do. I currently have no plans to integrate this patch in TVE 3. TVE 3.5 (currently released as MP2 Native TV) supports TBS tuners without need for a patch.

    Best regards,
    mm
