TBS: CI/CAM support and other improvements (1 Viewer)

Hello everyone,
bring new information from the original problem. Maybe it has to do with your problem.
I returned back and supplier TBS6991 it tested.
On Win XP Everything OK.
With Win 7 is a problem with decoding in combination with CAM module.
For now I am waiting for the solution.

Hello everyone
I have solved my Problem. Full Deinstall MP1.6. Re-Install MP1.2.2 and install the Patch from MM (First Post https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/attachments/tbs-2-0-zip.96154/) .
Now all Channels available.
I've make a Update to 1.6 and used the 1.6 Patch.
All Looks fine MP1.6 now works for me.

Mediaportal 1.7.0 Pre was released today.
Unfortunaly my TBS 6982 is not working anymore. The previously patch worked very good in 1.6.0 !

Can someone provide an updated patch version working with 1.7.0. Pre?
Why patch still not integrated in Mediaportal?

The 1.6 patch should work
It is in MP just not in MP1. MP2 already uses a early version of the new engine.

The previous patch is indeed working in MP 1.7.0 Pre !
Also tested MP 2 with SlimTV - NativeTV plugin and this is also running.

sorry but I conlude that tbs products are (currently) not recommended tuner cards for MP if you need CI/CAM

edit: my problems are with an Unicam Evo CAM, other CAMs could be all right

Why? With the new version the patch is built in, it is just such a big rework that we need time to get it stable MP2 already uses the new engine, just MP1 currently doesn't

Why?

- because a recommended card must work out of the box without patching
- because the TBS patching looks like a never endig odyssey, first posts here date 2011... My CAM module never worked with any of the patches till now. never and believe me, I tried.

other cards work out of the box. those are recomended by me not TBS.
please do not misunderstand my conclusion as I respect your work a lot! I just want to avoid that some newcomer think TBS were a good choice and waste money as I did. Other choices are more trouble-free.

do you use CAM? If yes, can you open the CAM menü in TVE?

I have a TBS 6928 with Unicam an Sky V.14 and MP 1.6. with the newest TBS-Patch from FreakyJ. Cam works, Sky Channels work and I can open Cam Menu in TVE. I can recommend this card.

@kszabo: Maybe someone can help you, if you provide detailed logs

@Chisum thank you! pretty same config here: Unicam evo, Sky v14, TBS 6928, no luck till now, but I must admit I gave up as I use my good old Technitrend S2-3200 for the CAM now, the TBS is only used for FTA from a 2nd satellite. Good to know that it should be possible. I do not touch the system now because I do not have hours... and upset the family so no logs available
