Is this Terratec Cinergy CI USB working in Mediaprota TVServer? Thinking about buying one and using it with my Terratec Cinergy 2400 DT. Does anyone have this setup working in MP?
If anyone is want´s to know, this it not working in mediaportal/tv-server. Terratec´s 2400DT tuner works very well in my mediaportal setup but won´t decode any encrypted channels with Terratec Cinergy USB CI. USB CI works in Terratec´s own software with the 2400DT, but is buggy and crashes my pc when shutting down or entering S3.
This beta testing is getting sooo old. I think I¨ll get a decent set-top box for viewing encrypted stuff, or try to get Terratec´s Cinergy S2 to work in mediaportal and get my channels from sat. Conax pairing is also the problem, don´t think the encrypted HD channels will be available for HTPC users in Finland. So investing time and money TV viewing on HTPC seems pointless.
Terratec Cinergy CI USB is becoming very popular here in italy because with the Samsung CAM or Fast CAM it can decrypt DTT italian pay per view, so can be very nice if Mediaportal will support this hardware soon, since, even if other software like dvbviewer can already use it, MP is my favorite one...
Hope this can push someone of the developers to consider the issue.
Yes it would!
I fought months to find out why my (free) HD channel doesent show well, bad jittering etc.
When I removed internal CAM from dvb card, everything started to work perfectly exept i couldn't see scrambled channels anymore, so I bought this Cinergy CI USB, for my disapointment it works only with terratec home cinema, not with media portal, huh!
I also hoped that it could be used by my both dvb cards at the same time, but i think that is too optimistic tought too.
Eather i watch scrambled and no HD or then HD but no scrambled, dead end if there is no solution for this..
It's getting weirder.....
If I remove all the IP cards in the TVServer setup and then add them back I can scan the M3u and tune the stations but if I rescan it on the same card it just keeps updating the 1 channel. My brain is melting.........

Having great fun with this still. I have a fairly good PC setup, Ryzen 5 8500g, Msi Pro 650M-P with 32GB of RAM with a TBS 6281 and...
When I tested MP 2.5 some months ago using TVE3.5, I found that "scan for channels" failed to find any channels when I selected a DVB-T2 tuner (a TBS 6284) :(, but succeeded when I used a DVB-T tuner (a Pinnacle 2000i) :). Obviously the Pinnacle found only those channels broadcast in DVB-T MUXes (in the UK we have both DVB-T MUXes and...

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal.
Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...

Does anyone else have problem with long (several hours) pauses of TV broadcasts?
If I pause and forget, I can still resume TV the next day, but if I try to change channel or stop, MP freezes.
Only way to fix is to restart both MP and TV Service. Sometimes I need to restart PC
It seems that TVServer cannot proprtly handle large...
