same hardware sometimes work, sometimes not

Maybe OS related... I can imagine that the running examples are on Win8 and the crashing ones on Win7...
But I definitely will not move to Win8. I'll stay on Win7 until Win10 is ready to use.

@Lehmden, to be sure: do the applications run for a while? If so, the DX support is available. If the program later crashes, this can have other causes. The program is only intended to do the initialization of DX11.1 properly, the rest can be considered as unstable.

So if you get an immediate crash it looks like

This I consider a "crash". If it runs a while, I consider is as "ok"

Hi.
I'm not at home any longer now, but it looks exactly as on your screenshot. It lasts one or two seconds before the "App isn't working any longer" dialog appears. So is this a crash or not? It's the same on all three systems I've tested this. My fourth system I've lent a friend atm as I only need it during summer (it's for the garden) This is an Asrock Ion 330 Box, that also should not be DX11 compatible...
