Running on the download in the first post.
DVB-t in sweden and found one issue/improvement.
If i try to tune a channel that's encrypted i get a Error invoking action 'StartTimeShit'.
Should it not detect the requirement for a subscription and return an access denied instead?

Edit: It also should be able to resume from this "error" so that you can tune back to a channel that you are allowed to watch without having to restart the client

I'll start to do my first tests of MP2 Alpha, since i'm a BIG user of TV in MePo

Hope its okay to ask for some feature requests and/or comments :)
    • Wake-on-LAN support from Client(I believe this is a big flaw in current MP1 design)
      • Clients should be able to WOL the TV-Server, if its sleep/standby mode.
      • The GUI should be improved as well - Today the Client hangs if connection cannot be established - GUI should show better info as well(Doing WOL, problem on Server/Client side - ping test?)
    • Ease of Client/Server setup - Client search button for server-side on LAN/subnet.
      • Small idea to ease up the initial connection - Maybe implement in Client GUI.
    • Ease of channel scan
      • Scan from MePo GUI, Automatic guide when first run
    • Client/Server setup over WAN network.(Is this even possible in Mepo 1 today?)
      • I'm on a 50/5 mbit line - I want this outside my house(Yes i know of MPExtended, but i want the MePo client, and not by browser:)
    • Automatic Channel Logo scraping from online repository?)
      • The current plugin packages work, but it must be a hazzle to update by developers. Waste of time maintaining same logoes for different countries/plugins.
      • Logo scraping could match by country+channel name, and a manual user option to change to "similar" logo's if channel name mismatch or is invalid
Hope to see some of these feature in a future release.

    Hello Morten

I think comments are welcome. :)

Wake-on-LAN support from Client(I believe this is a big flaw in current MP1 design)
Is this really not supported already?
    http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_...ion/MediaPortal_Configuration/22_TV/TV_Client

So there is "something" in MP1. Maybe it doesn't work correctly, or are you talking about MP2?

Ease of Client/Server setup - Client search button for server-side on LAN/subnet.
AIUI, communication protocol used between client and server is UPnP, which has a device discovery protocol.
morpheus_xx can comment better about this, but I think all servers on the network are discovered automatically.

    Ease of channel scan
Scan from MePo GUI, Automatic guide when first run
Up until now that has not been possible without really bad hacks.
I was hoping to make it possible in future. Lets see what happens.

    AIUI this is possible today.
Just have to set up routers, port forwards and firewalls correctly.

I think you should report this over here:

    Hi!
mm has done a lot of work and a few patches for terratec/twinhan-problem described in https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/trouble-with-terratec-h7-and-cam.103398/ . Has or will these findings be implemented to the TVE35?
The CAM menu fix, keep graph running etc. is already implemented. I have not added the hack to support old drivers yet. I think that should probably be fixed with modifications to the registry.
Greate! I don't think it has to support old drivers? I've had issues with old drivers not handling more than noe unit. I guess these fixes is not to be seen in Mediaportal 1, and the TVE3.5 is planned to be a MP2-only-design?
I've done some testing of this testbuild on my Windows Home Server 2011, with some issues, so I will move the Terratec-tuners to a Windows 8 computer before posting logs.
As I'm stucked without MP1 because of the tuner-problem, I can't wait for the MP2:)

Yep, WOL and server scanning are working for me here (with 1.4 but certainly WOL was working with 1.3, I didn't notice/test scanning as I'd just entered the IP address manually). Perhaps uPnP needs to be enabled on both PCs and the router though, so if it's not working that might be worth checking.

Allow me to take this opportunity to remind you of my suggestion for a separate app (to be used on the TV with remote, rather than on a desktop monitor with mouse although it could be used that way as well of course), which could be launched from MP, to do scanning/channel management if that would be easier than trying to implement it within MP itself ;)

WOL does work, but not the way it should be. Right now the client wakes the server on startup. not when entering TV Section. I guess this is what doveman wants changed. Also Server can go back to sleep if client is not in TV, but has to be woken again. GUI has to be gracious if server is unavailable (MP1 is not).
