In the servererror log I found the following epg errors:

But there is also good news:
Switching between channels is much faster.
No "'GetNowNextProgram" errors so far.
No freezing screen when "grab EPG when idle" is enabled (until now)

Can you guys Check the uploaded video , I think there is something wrong with the selection of the EPG channels.

Confirmed and (partly) fixed. I also fixed the "grouped" channels link, but it currently only works once, because after SaveChannel the GroupMaps properties of our channels are empty? @gibman can you explain why this happens? This would lead to a required refresh of the channel list after saving, so GroupMaps will be filled again...

This looks like an intentional throwing of Exception: this TvExceptionServiceNotRunning is thrown if no PMT of channel was found. Maybe the logging of the catching place should be improved.

I am glad it helps and I really appreciate the way you care about MP community. Thank you!

By the way, I am running MP2 on 1920x1080 resolution with large font (150 dpi) setting on. I am observing two TV server configuration program GUI issues that I believe is related to that Large font system setting.
Some buttons are not scaled properly, as seen on 2.png. In fact only highligted buttons group is nOK, the rest of buttons across GUI is perfectly fine
Ren/green circle icons in front of each channel name is not centered/scaled correctly - this can be seen on both attached pictures.

Have followed the guide and nothing more, but cannot get any playback

When I try starting up a channel, I just get:

"No Media Item"

Have tried restarting the MP2 service, but no luck:-(

Iimeshifting channels in Test Channels in SetupTV works fine

Have attached logs from the first run after installation, and seconly after restarting server and client

No, not quite.
PMT not found has its own exception.
This is a new case for supporting channels which are not available 24/7 (apparently these are quite common in the UK). TV Server checks the SDT running_status value at the same time as waiting for PMT:

running_status:
This is a 3-bit field indicating the status of the service as defined in table 6.
Table 6: running_status
Value
Meaning
0 undefined
1 not running
2 starts in a few seconds (e.g. for video recording)
3 pausing
4 running
5 service off-air
6 to 7 reserved for future use

If running_status is 2 or 4 then the service is assumed to be running and TV Server carries on grabbing PMT just like TVE 3. Otherwise, the service is assumed to be not running and the exception is thrown. The scheduler/service needs new code to handle this new exception.

I checked your logfiles above. The first set contains multiple error of type:
[2014-02-04 20:53:26,934] [438937 ] [53 ] [ERROR] - exception occurred in TVController: HandleControllerException - System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at Mediaportal.TV.Server.TVLibrary.TvController.ListAllCards()

The second set looks ok.

Can you please add the client's log files as well? Are you running client and server on same PC?
