Absolutely nothing of any use in that thread that I could see.

Seems that your tuner is still initializing when tvserver starts.
    Try the following:
    TV Server Configuration
    General
Increase the time before TVServer detect cards.

    Hi and thanks for that.

I'll try that ... will keep you posted. Any ideas regarding the timeshift error? This seems to be quite common but I have come across a solution.

Should I also revert to the original restartvbs file?

    Thanks again.

Timeshift error - no idea - lets hope it's related and it is fixed...

Your latest log shows a good restart.log, so keep it as is.

Ok ... This is what I've done.

Went back to the original restart script ... I will change this again to the new one.

It was set to 10 secords to detect TV Card ... set it to 30 seconds ... rebooted and placed PC into sleep mode NO GOOD with same error.

Set to 60 seconds ... rebooted and then again, placed PC into sleep mode ... still no good when I woke the system again.

I'll keep it at 60 seconds and change the restart script to the new one and try again.

    Will keep you posted.

    Thanks.

    OK

Now MP doesn't start at all from sleep mode.

Starts ok from bootup or restart.

    This is driving me nuts!

Hello, I can't get restart script working. I tried the different script which was mentioned earlier in this thread but I'm always getting the same error:

    Line: 21
    Char: 1
Error: The system cannot find the file specified.
    Code: 80070002
    Source: (null)

The script kills MP but then throw up the error mentioned above.

It's the standard script included in MP 1.0:
    Code:
    Option Explicit
    Dim process
    Dim shell

    set shell=createobject("WScript.Shell")

' This doesnt work always when resuming from S3
'For Each process in GetObject("winmgmts:").ExecQuery("select * from Win32_Process where name='MediaPortal.exe'")
    '	process.Terminate(0)
    'Next

    'WScript.Sleep 1750

' try to find a way to wait until the task is killed. This way we could use the
' taskkill without /F and that would allow MP to save settings as its not forced to terminate

    ' shell.Run "taskkill /T /F /IM Mediaportal.exe", 0, true

' Using tskill to fix Mantis issue 1529
    shell.Run "tskill Mediaportal", 0, true
    shell.Run "mediaportal"

I'm running Vista x64 if it helps.
