    That is too bad.
As you see i am trying to explain to you:
-) what the current algorithm exactly does
-) why a perfect situation is impossible
-) trying to get a discussion since maybe other people have idea's on how to improve the current algorithm

But if you dont want to listen and dont want to be part of this discussion
then there is nothing more i can do for you.

:D But you have not read, that I have 2 dvb-s.
In this morning you have asked, what for tv-cards I have.
    In my posting I have written, I have 2 DVB-s cards.

And now, you give me an explanation over a situation with one card !!!

I have only desire to discuss, if my discussion-partner understand me, too.

You can read, if you have desire, my threads in a calm hour.:D

    Josu,
i'm sorry but its you which is not reading.

First i tried to explain the current algorithm, to keep things simple i explained the situation where 1 tvcard is used with 2 or more users

Then you tell me , sorry but i have two cards.
    So i respond:
    doesnt matter
with 2 tvcards and 3 or more users we have the same issues as described above
Since if you have 2 cards and 3 or more users, the problem is the same as if you have 1 tvcard and 2 users.
To explain it even further i give an description what the current algorithm does in case you have 2 (or more) tvcards.

And then you respond.. I give up???

Sorry frodo, I have written the short text: "I give up" faster then your comment:

    there is no matter.......

    :sorry:

But I say you now, I jump in this moment from one thread to the other.

It seems, there were some missunderstandings.

Frodo, he got 2 TV cards and only 2 persons watching.
Yep, but there was a lot of confusion on how the tvserver is designed to work.
So i now explained the algorithm which describes how it should work.
If we all agree that the algorithm is ok, then we can check if all situations are working or not.

    Yes ofc, perfectly fine.
I'll try to sum up his specific case for both of you so we can try to find a sollution.

The way its designed to work:
Person A watches Channel X on Card 1.
Person B decides to watch the same Channel so it lands on Channel X and Card 1 aswell.

Now one of them decides to watch another channel (that is not on the same transponder) so he will be assigned to Card 2 and the other person stays on the old channel and Card 1.

    Correct until here?

Thats the way josu wants it to work, but somehow it doesnt. As soon as one of them switches the channel the other user gets kicked from the card rather than staying on it and the other one being assigned to the 2nd idle card.

I asked him about his setup and sat cable setup.
All channels are assigned to both cards and each card has a seperate cable from the satellite dish.

    Regards, Muldini
