Timeshift doesn't work anymore (2 Viewers)

I guess there is really no support for the in-built TV engine? This is such a shame as its very simple to setup and keeps the install much cleaner. I would have thought quite a few people use this engine.

Please can you offer support for this?

first it's no shame to go with new technologies, the installation with TV-Server isn't harder

To your problem:



[*]did you reinstall MP?
[*]did you disabled all plugIn's
[*]Maybe i found your problem, your codec caused some problems

Although in this log I have the Dscaler codec selected, I have also tried and normally use MPC and MPA codecs. I guess this is what most people use for TV. I'm not sure why theer are codec errors in this case?

Thsi used to work fine but I hadn't tried it for a while so not sure when the problem started. I haven't re-installed but just updated to latest SVNs when they are released. I haven't tried disabling plugins but the only one I have installed is the My Trailers plugin. Do you think its that causing the problem?

I get the same problem with v1.0.1. TV viewing in v1 works OK as long as timeshifting is enabled(1 in 10 channel changes does result in a blank screen, but selecting another channel and changing back gets the channel up, with 1.0.1 I get a blank screen and the program crashes). Viewing live TV(no timshifting) with v1 or 1.0.1 results in major stutter and audio sync issues, followed by a crash unless the channel is changed in the first 20 secs or so.

For 90% of users the internal TV engine is all that is required. Seems crazy not to get that stable so there is a basic standalone version of MP. Be best if it was ripped out if it is not supported so that us with issuse would know where we stand and could get on with deciding on a HTPC platform.

I hope no MS update has broken it as all updates are stated as being required for MP.

Yeah, Im getting the same thing as well..

I would use teh TV server 3 but when ever i have used it in the past.. I've had troubles, and the in-built i've never had issues until now.

I hope their is a easy fix for this issue.

Didn't have this issue with ver 1.0.0.0

MP completely freezes when I enable timeshift.

Same problem, tried to change codec but nothing.
Problem is freezing when Timeshift turning on.
Updated 1.0.0 to 1.0.1
Installed only internal TV engine
Someone find a solution?

Same problem posted here https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/get-support-90/timshifting-freeze-57525/ with the latest SVN.
Timeshift freeze Mediaportal and using TV Server I get Audio and Video out of sync even if I move ts buffer on a ramdisk or a separate disk.

When I set a channel to record manually and then change channel (so that MP uses the 2nd TV tuner) and then browse back to the channel i'm recording I get the same freeze. Logs contain lots of problems, see attached. Also when I go to the Recorded TV view, the live TV stream appears on the right where the recorded thumb list should be.

I think inbuilt TV needs some devs to look at it?

Same problem here. My espec are Vista Ultimate 32 bits, 2 gb ram, AMD 5050e, Hauppauge 4000, latest SVN and MP 1.0.

I've got the same problem as you guys + my MP freezes when I try to record livetv.

I guess it is the same for a all but have not seen it mentioned. Once I start the timeshift the HDD LED starts flickering at a great rate as though the same or many small files are being written over and over again. When it is working properly the drive light is what u expect and is always on not constantly flickering.
