Hey PussyWagon, good work on the skin so far, it's looking great - very professional looking!

I've just started working on new version of BleazleWide that will be specifically for touchscreens -> BleazleTouch Of course it will work with a remote too but the focus in putting it together is use on a touchscreen. I don't want to hijack your thread but I thought I should post here because I'm sure most touchscreen users will keep an eye on it, especially with the title you've given it

At the moment BleazleTouch is being developed for someone who contacted me but once it gets to a point where he's happy with it it will be released to the MP community.

First of all, thanks for your compliments. Always nice to hear. Especially for me as a newbie skinner!

Its really great to hear that you are working on a TouchScreen skin too, MediaPortal is in need of more...
Do you have any more screenshots? I became very curious now...

No screenshots yet - I could take some but nothing has been tested yet so things could end up changing. When I've got it to that stage I'll start another post and put a link in this thread - as I said I don't want to hijack the thread for your skin

Basically the skin will remain as close as possible to BleazleWide but with a few changes to make it "touch friendly". As you know things like the page up and down buttons need to be looked at plus scrolling menus (i.e. in the Home screens) aren't much fun with a touchscreen so those have been changed in BleazleTouch. Apart from that the biggest change I've made so far has been with the topbar. As well as the usual pause/play/stop/FF etc buttons I've added volume control (including mute) + screen aspect control, along with links to the Home, PluginsHome, TV, Music & Pics plugins (I might add a link to Videos too..).

For sure! We've obviously got two different styles of skins going on here but I'm sure there will be common problems or issues that need solving. I'll be keeping an eye on how your skin to see what you come up with but if you've got anything you think I might be able to help out with feel free to PM me. Looks to me like you've got it under control though.

My definition of skinning " find something you like - work out how it was done - change it to what you want"

Yes there is some news... not much, but some progress have been done in My Videos and My Music section. MyMusic section will probably be the one needing most work from me as this will be one of my 1st priority to use with touch screen.

I don't know if there is any progress, but if there is, can I volounteer myself (OrigenAE S16T - 7" TS) and my buddy (MSI Wind Neton 19" TS) for extra testing - mainly music & videos, not the more complex modules...

Hi guys - sorry for the slow reply. BleazleTouch is coming along nicely but there's nothing to test yet (my "benefactors" are working through the testing at the moment). The whole idea is to have a skin that still looks like BleazleWide but has no scrolling menus. It's at a point were I actually prefer it to BleazleWide but there's still work to do.

@ PussyWagon - sorry for the mini thread hijack - I was going to start a new thread but there's not really that much to talk about yet. Your screenshots are looking great btw - I like the idea of having key buttons on every screen (I've gone for the same approach, but via the TopBar). Looking forward to seeing your skin released, it's always good to see what others come up with.
