Hi all,
same for me, the plugin consumes almost all the processor power. In real life it does not makes sense to use it.
In general it would be grreat to use it since it is a real value add

This is something that I would love to develop, my own touchscreen is really too small for this plugin to be effective and I'm not that keen on the graphics setup within it.
The imon touchscreen calibration also isn't that great. However I do see that there would be a real benefit to having basic use within mediaportal. I've some ideas about a good direction to go with it, I do believe that it needs a fairly extensive configuration table so that users can pick and choose layout and also what information and functions they need on they're touchscreen.
I.e. for me, an eject option is needed, where this wont be needed for most people. Volume control etc..... I'd also like to run a screensaver on it for the majority of the time. The screensaver would be a basic clock in subtle colours that wouldn't interfere with movie viewing, again it might be nice to have track information on it etc....
I've been looking at the frontview layout and there's something to be said of the way they've organised the options within it, which is good. It would be nice to be able to port this functionality over to mediaportal.
It's on my list of to do things...... but unfortunately time isn't something that I've got much of at the moment and it's quite low on the list of priorities. So it may be sometime.
