Trouble with Terratec H7 and CAM (3 Viewers)

I just (before seeing your question) changed the setting to Custom Tuning and Provider set to DVBS and I get loads of signal and channels. This was unlike my MP1 setting. I will let it scan and post my findings if you agree.

Custom tuning won't make any difference. TerraTec (Twinhan/Azurewave etc.) tuners don't support it.
Changing the preferred network provider definitely can make a difference.

Yes, please post your log files once the scan completes... and let me know if you still have the issue after 5 minutes of idle time. There are new options for idle state - always on and unload - which can help with this problem.

I finished the full channel scan and noticed the following:

- Not all channels are found. E.g. Astra 1 19.2 \ 12.515 \ H \ 22.000 \ 5/6. But basically all main Dutch channels are not found
- Not all LNB's give result, only Eutelsat\Hotbird 13.0 and Astra 19.2
- Putting channels in a group is not always saved
- Channel switch time is longer then with MP1, about 7/8 seconds while MP1 had switch times of around 3 seconds.

Yes, I can see the problem. The tuner seems to only be able to receive "low band" (22 kHz off) transponders. Also I see that the tuner is not receiving DVB-S2 QPSK transponders. I will try to build a patch for you to test but it may take some time (I shifted house last week and haven't yet got an internet connection at home).

I see that you tried to scan all four ports. Have I got this right?
port A = Astra 19.2E
port B = Hotbird 13E
port C = ???
port D = Astra 28.2E

It looks like you successfully scanned A, B and D but failed with port C. Which satellite is that meant to be?

Yes, that is possible. There are some bugs in TV Server configuration after the database access layer was changed.

Most of the time it looks like TV Server is tuning in around 2-3 seconds. Sometimes faster.

Hi sorry to wake up this old thread. But I'm running TV Server 1.12 and have Terratec H7 and loosing CAM module after a few minutes like paalkr. Should I try out the patch here?

I'm really not sure why my H7 is working fine so long now without using any patch for H7. I think last time I had this issue was more than a year ago. Drivers are the same at least. Have you tried to change card settings in the TVE setup? You can see mine below.

Hi micko. I can see in this thread that you have downgraded driver to get it working, so I will try that and also try your settings. I have stop card instead of pause.
