Thanks, I just uploaded the file to the ftp place; ftp.team-mediaportal.com., would you please have a look.

The name is: Crash from mpeg2 to mpeg4.ts

Some information from my other tread ( https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/bugreports-74/mp-crash-changing-channel-mpge2-mpeg4-76179/ ), which I think is important?

"Even when MP freezes during a channel change (from mpeg2 to mpeg4 or the other way), the TV-sever still timeshift and makes ts-files. AND inside thes ts files everything seems OK.
The first ts file which contain the actual channel change from ie DR(mpeg2) to DR-HD (mpeg4), will crash window media player at the same spot as MP crashes, whereas VLC can play the file without problems.
BUT the subesequent ts files which is now timeshifting the mpeg4 channel (during the time that MP still is frozen), will play nicely in window mediaplayer, indicating that the structure is fine, it is only something that happend in MP-client during the channel change."

Thanks

    @disaster,

You can use this to analyse your raw dump.

Have downloaded TSPE from the net - but i can't see any AC3 audio in the small window. Only MPEG1 audio and MPEG2 video - so this is a problem with the broadcaster?

I have looked in my uploaded ts file, using VLC - Media information, and I think that it changes to AC3 at the time that MP freezes.
    Could that be the explanation?

Hi I tried to look at the ts file I uploaded to Mediaportals ftp server using TS-PacketEditor from the post above. But this program only plays the first part of the stream until the channel change.
IF THERE IS ANY INFORMATION I CAN PROVIDE, I WILL BE HAPPY TO DO SO.

Next I tied to enable debuglogging from VLC, which plays the ts-file fine.
At the time of channel change this is written in the log (marked in bold):

QPainter::begin: Paint device returned engine ==0, type: 1
QPainter::begin: Paint device returned engine ==0, type: 1
QPainter::begin: Paint device returned engine ==0, type: 1
    [00000614] packetizer_mpeg4audio packetizer: AAC channels: 2 samplerate 24000
QPainter::begin: Paint device returned engine ==0, type: 1
QPainter::begin: Paint device returned engine ==0, type: 1
QPainter::begin: Paint device returned engine ==0, type: 1

As I understand the file is initially a mpgv and sample rate 48000 (from VLC media detail)

From The TSPacketEditor program this information is available:

So it seems to be able to detect the change, but there is some warning?

Hope this is of some help.
