flokel: can you tell me which splitter (file name, version, brand) are you using and can you post an image of the graph used by MP during H.264 tv channel uses?
Thank you.
right now dvb-s2 is nothing but extremely stuttering,
no matter if played with MP or Technisat/Technotrend TV Center.
Pretty confusing as I haven't changed anything
I will give you the required infos as soon as everything's working again.
edit:
Had a quick look at graphedit:
In graphedit I opened a dvb-s2 .ts file which had been recorded with MP
(is this the right procedure?) and got the following:
to see the graph used by MP do the follow:
1)Open MP in window, go in myTV and tune an H.264 channel.
2)While MP shows H.264 channel, Open GraphEdit and select from File Menu: "Connect to remote graph". A list of graphs (pids) appear.
3)Click on the list of the graphs and the graph windows will be opened shown you the current graph used from MP. The source out should be "live1-0.ts.tsbuffer" or something similar. If you have more than one graph scan all the graphs (disconnecting and reconnetting from file menu in graph edit the current) till you find the right one.
4)When you are in the graph right click on the splitter (demultiplexer demuxer) and see if in properties something appears (maybe notthing appears).
For me can be usefull also to see your current situation even if stutters (stuttering is better than a black screen as I get now).
Thank You
Francesco
edit:
As I expected you are using a different demuxer: I use MS demultiplexer, you are using cyberling demuxer. I hope I find the way to use It in my configuration (and I hope is already installed). If you follow the above sequence we can understand also the version, maybe. And we are sure this happens when you watch MP TV in H.264 format.
Thank You flokel:as you can see the graph it's very similar to the one I have...
I hope the difference is in MPeg2Demultiplexer. So please go in your Windows\system32 dir and look for mpg2splt.ax, right click and see the version. I have mpg2splt.ax ver 6.5.2710.2732. Let me know if it's the same version and if not please attach your file in the next post. I will try your.
Here I Attached Direct show filter manager, that can be usefull to understand your file location and settings.
Other difference in your graph is the cyberlink demuxer placed inside but not used.
I have the same demuxer, I raised merit to maximum but notthing changes.
My version seems newer than your but I tried your too with the same result: no H.264 Channels! I tried without this splitter (unregistering it) and no channel (SD and HD) works.
At this point I don't know what I can do...
The last difference is to put cyberlink in my graph but since the graph is buit by MP I don't think this help.
Any suggestion?
I think I'm near to the solution but something is missed... If I format and reinstall everithing probably it will works but is not my preferred approch. I'd like to understand!
Now I discovered that an Intervideo H.264 decoder installed in my system, had a merit higher than Cyberlink H.264, so changing merit now i can see .Ts file of H.264 channels and when it happens the graph is exactly like your : with a cyberlink demuxer showed but not used. When I use myTv that should be almost the same since is buffered in a TS file, the cyberlink demuxer doesn't appear so I guess is another problem of merits that I have to discover too. I understand that the cyberlink demuxer is used in your configuration...
Now I want to see a movie and take a rest... after I will make some other tests.
An help with some settings configurations for h.264 is very welcome from MP developers.
