TV Client ? (1 Viewer)

I have tryed and looked in the wiki at the url below

it seam so simple but I must be missing something. The server is set up and working on my 192.164.0.154 computer the card scaned fine and previewed the channels fine good picture and sound.
On my other computer I installed to for inbuilt TV-Plugin for MP.
When I start MP and goto SVN build it does not show the MP TV-Plugin and if I start MP and goto MyTV I get a screen that thinks I have a tuner card installed??

You need the TVServer Client plugin installed on the same machine as mediaportal.

Got Filmerit now what. Be gentle I over 60 years old and willing to learn but not a computer wiz kid.

You should have selected to install the TVClient.

My recommendation: See if you can try a stable build only.

Best thing to do is uninstall the Mediaportal you wish to watch TV from and start again. This time you need to select the following options

1. Yes- I will use MediaPortal to watch TV
2. Yes - I will use MediaPortal to watch HD Content
3. MediaPortal TVserver 1.0 ***** this is really import step
4. Perform Advanced Installation ***** this is really import step
5. MediaPortal Cient ***** this is really import step

the rest is the same as before. Follow the wiki and you should be fine.

Thanks for the insite, I will give it a try. I am trying to set up a network of MP computers, I have been using the single seat on 1 computer (livingroom), and a Dlink DSM320 that has been running for 2 years in the Media Room.
Hope to set up 3 computers and 1 server for all the TV.

no worries mate,

I have this setup now (1 Serevr & 5 clients - no DSM320 though) for about 6 months and is working very well, except for the occassional bug. Anywhere we can help, let us know, the MediaPoratal forums is the friendliest place i have been on the web. Don't foget to look at the wiki, there is some good stuff in there on sentralised database for multiseat (MediaPortal - Tips and Tricks).
