When I go to the TV part of MP, all I see is a blank screen. In the TV_Server preview it appears to work fine. I don't know what is wrong? Hopefully someone can help. I just tried changing the codecs to the Microsoft ones and that did not help.

Well no answer, so I read some more posts. I don't know why this worked, but here is what I did to fix my problem:
1. uninstalled the TV_server -> complete
2. Reboot
3. reinstall MP

I think the previous times I tried to uninstall I had been using the MP uninstall and it looks like my database may not have been reset. Or it may have been related the locked file referenced in other posts. In any case, I can now view TV with my old TV tuner.
Now onto a HD tuner...

I had what sounds to be the same issue, I tried uninstalling re-installing etc... But it did not make a difference.
As it turns out the selected channel group was set to an empty group with no channels in it. All I did to fix the issue was delete the empty channel group and this defaulted to the correct channel group (using the TV Configuration tool).

Interestingly, there used to be an option to choose which channel group in the Media Portal interface for TV, but it doesn't seem to be there anymore.

Can't find it either! MP does save my channelorder by the way and shows it correctly in TV server config, but in MP itself the order is like it was in the beginning after a channel scan.

    Hi

To reorder the channel list that you see in MediaPortal:

    1. Open TV Server configuration.
    2. Go to the "TV Channels" section.
    3. Go to the tab for the group that you want to reorder.
    4. Move the channels up and down using drag and drop, the arrow buttons or the "order by..." buttons.

    I hope that helps :)

I know, that's what I do, but when closing TV server config and starting MP, the channel order is still the same as before I applied these changes. Also, when creating a new channelgroup and placing channels in it, the group appears empty after closing TV server config and opening it again.

guess it is going to be another clean install (again).

Well, did a complete MP removel, reinstall, reboot, channelscan and I can make a channelgroup, but when putting the channels in and closing TV config, all channels in the new channelgroup are gone.

This is what the logs say:
