Thanks for your comments guys. I think that once I get some spare time (in a couple of months), I might do this and see what I think. ibmonkey has raised a very good point in that only some of the logos use the background colour...

Thanks for the cable logos.

None of the logos I have done have random background colours. If the channel has a clearly defined colour 'identity' then that is used for the logo background. If there is no colour identity, I use black or very light gray depending on which gives better readability. I have tried an amended design which has a 'page curl' at the top right corner with category colour underneath. They look OK but I did not pursue it as the whole set really needs to be redone at a higher resolution, 256x256 probably.

TritonT, can you upload your alternative design template? I'll start re-doing the logos at a higher res. Is 256x256 enough for the larger logo in MP Blue3 when you press 'info'? The current one's do look rather compressed in this view...

Work has got in the way recently and what little spare time I've had has been spent trying to sort out @!!*ing htpc

Still new hard drive turned up today; so that should be the end that issue

I'll redownload the latest updates to logo's tonight and mpi them; then you can test it out.

Try the attached. Works for me under Vista. Haven't tried XP, but don't foresee any issues. Its just the UK Free + Subscription ones.

Names just follow whats already there; so may need to be adjusted according to your region.

Should install to %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs\tv\logos\ if you want to check

I found I had to rename the Dave +1 thumb to Dave+1 without the space, then it worked.

I just added the ones from Triton's post, normally have to rename a few from the pack myself.

I'll try and clean it up a bit this week then, if its working for people

Let me know if there's any other's not working, as I only have freeview to check against.

just to let you know it worked for me, but i also had to rename logos to "BBC ONE", "BBC TWO" and "DAVE+1"

am i correct in thinking that the mpi "installs" the logos packaged within the mpi itself, and there is no plugin as such?
