TV Server and WHS ( Windows Home Server ) (2 Viewers)

hi vvulture,

i have been running WHS with TV server for about a month now without any problems.
I do have one problem though. after i watch a recorded show, stop it, and then press play again, i don't get the message "Do you want to resume from last point?". it never remembers where i stopped watching.

can you check if you have the same problem too? i'd like to rule out that WHS is the problem here.

Now that you mention it, i suffer the same problem.
I am running TV Server RC1 with SVN 18951.
I doubt very much it's a WHS issue.

ok, it's solved. if you apply latest svn, this problem is solved. what went wrong is described in my thread.

on a unrelated note: did you already get the webguide plugin for WHS to stream recorded TV over the internet etc? i'd like to know if that is already working for you.

I'm not familiar with this plugin... sorry.
I will check it out...

by the way, how do you find the latest SVN ?

could not find a plugin called " WEBGUIDE"... can you point me in the right direction ?

it's a WHS plugin, not a MediaPortal plugin. You can find it here: WebGuide: Windows Home Server

I use it to watch photos and stream my music and movies to my internet browser. But you should also be able to use it to stream shows that are recorded by Mediaportal. I've not managed that yet.

Actually, i ended up finding it in the end, installed it, but i cannot stream any video at all... I can stream pictures ok, music i haven't tried.... but video is a no go....

Hi, i've been running TV server on WHS for a good while now (MP 1.0 and TVserver 1.0) but I have a couple of issues:

- When watching a recorded program the video stutters, like there is a problem with de-interlacing or something. Playing the *.ts-file directly from My Videos in MP they all play fine.
- When trying to skip back while watching live tv i have to hit the left button a couple of times before it actually starts playing from earlier in the timeshift buffer. Generally navigating in the timeshift buffer is very unstable.

I use a Floppy-DVB-C-card and both the recording folder and timeshift folder are on a separate disk not in the WHS storage pool.

just thought id mention im also running whs and working really well. not really having any issues.
