I am using MP locally and I installed the SVN TV server plugin in the same directory as MP. When I start MP and select My TV, I didn't get the config screens to config a connection. How do I connect with MP to TV server on the same machine?

Thanks.

If I'm not wrong then you don't get them config screen when the server is local to the client, it just connect automatic to the server

You need to tell the MP-client the host adress of your tv-server, i.e. either the name of the server or the ip-adress. You do this in the client plugin of the the mp-client. Did you install the client-plugin that comes with the server-engine?

Yes I installed the client plugin. According the the wiki, i was supposed to see a different screen when I select My TV. There was no change button for me to select. I think it was just the normal TV menu.

I wonder is sunsetdk is right about MP and TV3 being on the same machine.

I'm away from the system so I can't tell exactly what is there but I believe that was one of the options.

When I selected it though, it said no stream defined or something like that.
I can select EPG and it does have all the channels. I tried selecting one of the channels but nothing happened.

Did you change any default installation for TVService or the plugin, if you double click the TVServer icon within program list does it bring up the config for the TVServer ok, does it show TV channels are there.

Did you delete the TV-Cards in the MP client? If not MP does not use the server

Not true, i continually switch between TVE2 and TVE3, just by uninstalling the TVE3 and plugin and have no problems, this is on a single seat setup of course.

I did not have a chance to play with it last night, but I did not change any settings on the MP installation.
If I click on the tv server icon, it brings up the config. I'm running the tv3. I'm not even trying to use tv2.

I agree with the first reply.
I think you don't get the IP screen when the server and client are on the same machine. It just finds it.
The Server config screen only shows on clients without a local server install
