Yes, you can watch and record two different shows at the same time with only one DVB or ATSC TV card. A separate TV card is only required for channels on different transponders (frequency) or with analog tuners.

Yes, it is possible... but the channel(s) that you're watching and recording must be on the same frequency, otherwise it is physically impossible for the tuner and therefore also impossible for MediaPortal (and any other software). In other words, this only works for certain channel combinations.Quick question: Is is possible to record tv while watching with a single tv tuner card. I realized that I could not today, but it says here that it is possible!?

Some (most?) MediaPortal skins will show you which channels you can access:Now sorry for my ignorance on the subject, but how can I know if it is on the same frequency or not?

May I be so bold as to ask why?Oh and by the way, I try to manually add an OTA channel.
If you're asking where do you find the values for those fields then the answer is that you're expected to know or find the correct values, presumably by copying from a TV, set top box, internet lineup info or some other source.Where do I find all the info for an ATSC channel?
