can you view live tv directly on your whs box to check if there is stuttering, too?

I only have the TV server installed on WHS, didn't think it would be a good idea to install the client on WHS too?

    which saf are you using?
with 4.00 i had many problems. with 5.00 everything works fine for me without any hdd outside of the pool etc.

I've been using 4.00 so will try the new 5.00 soon, thanks!

AW: TV-Server on WHS - Collection of fixes and workarounds

I bought an "old" floppyDTV DVB-S without S2 don't need it on this card because it cost me only 18€ :)
this version without S2 i only got running with driver 5.3
with 5.6 (workaround) or 5.7 (same way like 5.6 discribed on 1st page) the tv card couldn't find any driver.
so pfff, it seems to work with 5.3

do i have to reinstall the tv-server? it doesn't show me the floppyDTV only the Technotrend which i have since i'm working with MePo.

    ---------------edit---------------
ok, found it. had to restart the tv-service
but what do i have to do now?
nothing? does mepo organize which card is in use and which channels now have to use the second one if the first is blocked by recording or something else?

    Setup:
TV Card: FloppyDTV S2, Cinergy S2 PCI HD
    OS: WHS
    MePo: TV Server 1.1.0
    SQL: MS SQL Server
Plugins: iPimp, TV Clickfinder Pluggin for grabbing EPG

    Hi,

I still have a weird problem.
I have MePo TV Server 1.1.0 installed on my server. Also WMP 11 and dvbfix.
I can watch TV for about 1 day. After that day it's not really possible to watch any tv channels. I have stuttering, artefacts etc...
If I then restart my whole server (restart of the tv service has no effect) everything is fine again! When using noRTSP option this problem doesn't occure (but sadly some other come up...).

    What I did:
    - complete reinstall of TV-Service
    - changing the allowed RAM that can allocated by the SQL server
    - changed Network Card
    - changed driver from my tv card
    - changed whole tv card (instead of the floppy I installed yesterday a Cinergy S2 HD PCI)

but nothing worked for me. I'am really frustrated because I have this problem now for 6months or so and don't know what to do anymore..... :/

    Hi All

I have followed the install guide and renamed the tvserver.exe.config to tvserver.config but when I try and run TVserver config I get the attached error.

I'm not sure if its a .net framework issue or maybe something stopping the connection as the error suggests??

    Thanks
    Matt

Problems are unfortunately manyfold and quite individual for each system.
Lets hope that with Vail, it will improve

    Hi

I have got an issue with my Tv-Server/WHS!

The TV server reports that I have no Signal Level but 90% signal quality. I cant say for sure if it has always been like that or not.

I get a fair amount of 'tearing' and loss of sound.
I have tested the connections with my sky receiver and that has no issues at all!

I have a WinTV - Nova HD S2 card with the latest drivers.

    Can anyone offer any help?
    Thanks in advance.

Sorry, never had somethig like this.
You sure it is not the card or s driver issue?

If possible check your card with a different PC (e.g. your client)

    Cheers,
