Hi Guys,

Trying to run Mediaportal Tv server on Server 2012 R2 RTM (windows 8.1) with essentials enabled.

I have managed to get everything installed but when i try to open setup tv i get the OS not supported warning. I click OK and the nothing happens. It never opens.

setuptv.exe and myssql.exe cpu usage shoots up but nothing ever opens.

What could i try to get tis working?

    Right - a VM.
I suspect network configuration issues related to virtual network adapter etc. etc. etc.

OK? That would be enough for setup-tv not to start?
Absolutely. Setup TV has to contact the service and the DB, so it must be able to use the network. It looks like contact with the DB is okay; contact with the service is likely to be the problem.
