    Hi
I couldn't find the logs that are exported. TVWishList.log had nothing like that after I used more\export.
But I found the messsages.xml file in the tvwishlist directory. This looks like the same thing? There are 5 records below.
And also, it seems like this is acting as it should? I don't understand why it has recorded twice.

    A couple of thoughts:
1 Where are these messages stored? Is there a database or is that xml file the source? Can I reset them? Maybe me deleting/moving things has caused this to happen.

2 If a program has no epg episode title or number at first, but then it is added by the epg provider later on, will tvwishlist update the schedule correctly?
I have seen several programs added to the schedule because they have the correct title, but have no episode name or number until a few days later. Does TVWishList look back at the already scheduled recordings to re-check that everything is correct when the wishes are run? I haven't noticed which shows this related to so it is possible it is those that this has happened for.

    Thanks
    Ben

    foxbenw, thanks for trying.
Both the messages and the tv wishes are stored now in the Tvserver database. I provided in the MediaPortal TvWishListMP an export/import function in the more menu, where you can export/import a file from the Tvserver TvwishList directory.
To reset the messages you have to open the tvserver plugin and goto TvWishList -> Formats -> Delete All messages
I admit this is a little bit hidden and i need to think about making it more user friendly. This will delete all your messages. before you do that i would like to ask you to give some feedback about the performance of the messages on the view results page. Are the filter and sort options working within reasonable time? You are the only real "Power user" I know with more than 1000 messages (what I saw from the log).

I tried to make TvWishList quite robust with respect to user actions on deleting and restoring schedules, recordings ... i think i am quite close now, but still a few steps to go.
Your log file helped me to identify one spot if the EPG data are changing. Unfortunately i am running out of time and will be out for about 4 weeks now, but want to continue afterwards on increasing robustness. Your problem could also be related to a bug of one of the older versions - i am still debugging.

d3ltoroxp, it is not released now. I wanted to do that before my departure, but was running out of time. It has to wait for 3 more weeks.

    TvWishList V 1.2.1.4 released on 12.December.2011

Thanks for your patience! I am back and have released 1.2.1.4 which fixes the bug in the partial text/title for the tvWishList MP and TV plugin. If you have already installed the test patch, there is no need to reinstall.

    Hi Huha
Hopefully it was a holiday, and you enjoyed it.
To answer your question about the messages - the filtering in view results is quick, no problems there.

However, I have to confess I have no idea what I would use them for. I don't know what any of the email settings mean in the config, and therefore don't really look at the email that i get with the results.

For me, the important outputs in the front end would be to a the list of programs from the epg that fit the title search, followed by the reason that they were rejected or not. ie for american dad, when i click on results, i would see all the american dad's in the epg at the moment, plus season, episode, and a flag saying 'already in recording database' or not. Then at the end a reason for it being recorded or not recorded (eg season/episode already exists, or 'no series # in epg', 'no episode # in epg')

But, ignore me, and that isn't important. Basically I like the plugin because i can pick up series and fill in gaps in existing series. At the end of the day, that is what it is for. Just because i don't look at the 'messages' doesn't mean that others don't.

If i could choose my favourite possible feature it would be to see the episode/series filters applied per rule rather than global, which i think i said before. eg i would like to use series/episode filters for american dad, but episode name filter for poirot. for me, that is more important than viewing the results. I tend to look at the output on a results basis - ie what records and what doesn't record. i just don't have time to look through all the messages. If i only had a few wishlists maybe i would love the messages and emails, and maybe that will happen with time if i have fewer series i am trying to record (i have only had MP for a couple of months).

Sorry, a long post. The summary is I don't use messages but maybe others will. And I like what you have done. I will install the update and let you know of any problems, of course.
    Best
    Ben

    foxbenw,
i will put episode series filter for each tvwish on the list for new features. I also liked your idea of extended messages for reasons not being recorded. But first i will need one more stability update. So this will fall into next year.

    AW: TV Server Plugin: TvWishList

For what is this view mode ?

And Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year back !!

EDIT:: I have a feature request. Is it possible to incorporate the following ?

When i look at my tv guide and see an interesting program, that i can choose in the hidden menu an button how make a tvwish automatically in your plugin with standard settings. Than i can you and change it a little bit to my Conditions and save it. Perhaps your plugin can catch as much information as possible from the EPG import and adjust them.

    D3ltoroxp,
the view mode is to test a tv wish and watch the results before recording it. You can also use it as your personal tv guide to search for special shows within the next hours.

With respect to your feature request the plugin cannot be integrated into the EPG part of MP, as this is part of the core code. However, I have incorporated a function from the main window (More -> move schedules to tvwishlist), where you can create a TvWish of all schedules which you have programmed before. By that you can use the MP EPG to schedule some episodes and later in TvwishList you can convert the schedules into a Tvwish and then postprocess it (check the manual for more details).
