TV Service taking long while to shutdown, delaying Windows shutdown/reboot (1 Viewer)

Based on the system event log it looks like windows is not detecting that the TV service has shut down:

So does this suggest that it needs to be tweaked to properly notify Windows that it has in fact shutdown? As Windows appears to have no problem detecting that all the other services have shut down, it would suggest that to me but I'm no expert on these things

Yes, it would suggest that... but I have no idea what Windows' problem is!

To be short: I can confirm this too and I think it worked fine in MP 1.3.0. Could it also be a Windows update problem?

It could be that the service just logs that it has shut down but still is alive - some thread waiting etc. Debugger will tell what is active after the log line has been written.

Yep, possibly.
I was looking at the service code today to see what had changed since MP 1.3 and it looks like it is really only the logging... or was that in MP 1.3 as well?

No. Logging was added in MP 1.4.0.
