Shouldn't I be able to receive and play the UHD Demo Channels (e.g. on Astra 19.2) with MP 1.17? I just get a "connection to TV Service lost" error message.

Yes, probably (but I've no personal experience).

You'll need to attach some TV server and client logs for anyone to work out what might be happening.

U definitively can watch the UHD channels on astra an any other Satelite. I do this since the Version 1.15 (with TS Reader Fix).. u only need a HEVC cabable grafics card like Geforce GTX 9xx or 10xx . Be aware of haveing about 3GB of VRAM
