The separate one is not compatible with IR Server Suite. So if you try to run them both at the same time they will conflict.

So, wich is the best one, considering that atm i only need to change channel on the STB?

anway, i tried restarting the tv service, but no IR comes from the blaster when changing channel from mediaportal.. only from TV3 server config...
i've uninstalled IR Server and all it's plugins but the separate one from this thread.

Are you using a remote control to navigate MediaPortal?

The problem happens because the Blaster plugin and the MediaPortal client program itself are both trying to access the same device at the same time, this causes only one of them to be successful.

The separate plugin in this thread is very old now so I suggest you switch over to the IR Server Suite anyway, as it has much better support for STB blasting.

We could try to figure out why your blaster isn't working, but it might take a lot of mucking around. If it doesn't work for you in IR Server Suite then the solution will probably be easier to find.

I agree... maybe MP client with the remote and TV3 server IR plugin are conflicting each other.

I'm going to remove the TV3 plugin as soon as i get home, then i'll reinstalla the IR Server. Last time i did, i had no plugin in the TV3 conf window to set the remote commands... but i'll check again this evening.

You need to stop the TV Service when you want to add or remove plugins and then start it again after. Make sure you do that and you will be ok.

Hi,

I am using the Blaster from TVServer (part of the setup) and I have the following issue (not a bug): I’m using it to change the channels on a Sky box. I believe the sky receiver has a mechanism to avoid sending repeat digits in a short period of time (if you hold down the remote button). For channels like 11 or 33 the blaster sends the correct IR but the sky box takes only the first one. Question: There is any way to add a pause between digits? I have no problem with other channels like 12, 31, 32 ….

I don't know that there is any option built into ServerBlaster to do that.

You could switch to IR Server Suite and use it's built in TV3Blaster Plugin, it has the ability to add a delay between digits.
