having this issue if I choose to start mp at windows startup, since my sql db has become huge with xml data for 7 days for about 50-60 channels in favs and a full hotbird autotune in the channels table.

what happens is MP starts too fast (before the whole tv subsystem fully loads), channel list won't show up anything and tv won't even start. solution is to close mp client and restart it or make a batch to delay the call to mp after booting.

providing log at request, but i assume they aren't so useful since the issue is logical enough to debug.

hmm... i know that the TVService is trying to re-connect to the SQL-Service if it is not present when TV-Service is started.

It could be that this "re-connect" feature is missing for the client.
could you please provide some debug logs?

I don't think there is any problem with the TVserver service connecting, just the client will not connect if the rest of the system is not already ready.

erm... thats exactly what i said ;)

the TV-Service tries to re-connect to SQL-Service until it can connect.

I doubt that the TV-Client Plugin has that ability yet.......
i think that it tries one time to connect and never tries again if that fails.

    But i need logs :)

cannot provide logs ATM, but i used to have this problem too (about 3 weeks ago, i don't have a running htpc at this time). i had to delay MP-startup for about 10-15 seconds to make it work reliably.
