having this issue if I choose to start mp at windows startup, since my sql db has become huge with xml data for 7 days for about 50-60 channels in favs and a full hotbird autotune in the channels table.
what happens is MP starts too fast (before the whole tv subsystem fully loads), channel list won't show up anything and tv won't even start. solution is to close mp client and restart it or make a batch to delay the call to mp after booting.
providing log at request, but i assume they aren't so useful since the issue is logical enough to debug.
