Motor? Here comes the pain...I've not seen any one get a motor work with a SS2 even with WDM drivers. :-(

What? Using SG2100 almost 3-years with SS2. Older drivers needed MiBi´s patch for skynet.sys, but from 4.4.0 there´s built in support for Diseqc, so no patch is needed. XP and VIsta working. For manipution with motor you only need built-in support in players (ALTDVB, DVBDream, DVBViewer...) or use SS2Diseqc utility...

Yeah I did get it working with the MiBi driver/utility but I could never get it to move with TVServer which is kinda the point. Do you have it working in TVServer so it automatically moves when you change channel?

Well, I dont even get TVServer working without stuttering This makes me mad, cos no one can answer what is the reason and which version to use with SS2. So...

When you say stuttering do you mean the video is smooth but every few seconds it pauses(Freezes)? (Audio is unaffected)?

Its like this: Only media Mediaportal installed I got all channels working well. But with TVServer - some channels work great but most of it stutters - first 5-6seconds its OK, but then its jerky - yeah it pauses, but just for a little while, like 100-200ms and another 2seconds good and the all again. Audio also.

Yeah I've had similar problems before, in fact my SS2 will only work without these issues in 1 PCI slot (the top one, close to the pwoersupply) Silly thing is I can't remember (or I didn't test) if this was only with TVServer. but the fault sounds very similar. From memory I don't think audio was stuttering though. Have you tried different PCI slots? What sor of mother board do you have? But when it's working (currently perfect with BDA driver) it's a great card. I use a different card for my diseqc sats. (Technotrend S1500) and even then it's just switching no motor.

I got ASUS A8R32-MVP, cant use 1st PCI cos of VGA. But I tested this in whole another PC - was the same. Strange thing is - non of my other apllications do this, only TVe. And strangest is, that some channels work fine, some not. I dont get it. Tomorrow Im gonna test SkystarHD. Will see.

So I tested TVe with SkystarHD and latest BDA drivers - and it works !!! Now its clear theres huge bug, with using Skystar 2.

My final question is: What drivers and what version of TVe to use with Skystar 2 ????

Hi Yany, i have had these working with the original supplied drivers and TVe3 (many svn versions) I think your problem lies elsewhere. Have you tried various codecs for TV? Which codec are you using? I'm sure i had this problem and it was codec related

Hi. This is not codec/filter related problem. The thing is - when I use standalone mediaportal TV works well, but when i use TVe and mediaportal - some channels works well and some stutters - so it aint filter problem. I tryied all possible filters (ffdshow, Cyberlink, Elecard...+ AC3filter, Cyberlink, Elecard...) but I say it again - it has nothing to do with it. I have all filters managed well at my PC, everything else works as I want and perfect, not TVe.

And another try with SkystarHD - works without problems. So, this is an TVe 3 + SS2 issue! And till now i dont see any solution...

Btw - another problem with TVe: I cant play H264 files with subtitles (mkv) using CoreAVC - video never starts, just Haali icon shows for 2seconds. And again - when using standalone Mediaportal it works... dont you have a solution for this? I remember two-three weeks ago, it worked with older versions.

P.S. - Another one: when I tested it with SkystarHD everything worked well. With SSHD I have EPG data, but not with SS2. Im using 4.4.1 WDM drivers for SS2 and for SSHD latest BDA drivers.
