tvserver/client setup nightmare! (3 Viewers)

HELP!

I've been experimenting with MP for a month or 2 now. Had a single seat setup working perfectly but now i want multi seat.
Downloaded the new 1.0.1.0 few days ago and set up a dedicated PC as a server and my original pc as a client.
I have 2 problems at the moment...firstly, i can't get a preview of the channels on the server. I just get a blank white box every time.
Secondly, if i run MP on the client and choose MyTV, I can see the EPG chanel listing but as soon as i click to view a chanel, MP locks up (not responding)
I've also checked the server to see if the client shows up as conected (streaming) but it doesn't. This seems strange though as it is sending the chanel info and i can view movies on the shared drive.

Please anyone out there can help me? I've looked for guides but not found much of any help.

i have a multiseat with a dedicated server and everything works perfect.

so we need your logs to help

Forgive my ignorance, but which logs? Where are they located?

I've done a bit of investiagting on the tvserver and found that everything there apears to be working fine.
Although I can't see a preview, I have been able to maualy record a chanel and play back using VLC.
So I don't believe there's any problem with tv server with regards to tuning the chanels.

There are more logs....I wasn't surer which you wanted.

im not an expert at all, but could it be a network issue? firewall disabled for mediaportal? did u play the file from another computer using vlc?

I tried it with the firewall disabled on both server and client but that made no difference.
Yes, I can play the recorded file on any pc on the network using VLC.
