I was wondering if it was somehow possible to show an icon if the tvserver is online or offline.
I have been looking thru the docs but can't find anything. No plugin that does it either?
Hi Joz,
yes, there is a possibility to add an icon or red/green flag, if a TVServer is running or a TVClient is connected/streaming.
It is not so complicated, please give me a hint what do you want...
Well all I would need I guess are status flags for me to control visibility of controls in the skin, nothing fancy really (#HTPCInfo_serverOnline is set to true for example).
I'm using your menu mode plugin currently but I would like this to be accessible in other parts of the skin as well, so that would mean going for a process plugin afaik.
I wouldn't mind running both versions of the plugin @ the same time if that's not causing any troubles. If it is I can also start using only process plugin and use say extramenu.dll window plugin for htpcinfo
I'm actually looking for this cause I found the nice heartbeat monitor plugin for tv server which really does an awesome job for my usage scenario. I would switch to just the bandwidth monitor patch for the tv powerscheduler that has been around for ages but still not included (at least if it works, there most likely is some reason it's not included still).
So I fire up heartbeat monitor to wol the server if needed (during off hours, early morning) and would like an indicator somewhere to show if I need to do that and if so if it's on already (which shouldn't take long anyways, s3 standby).
Enough of my ranting, would be great if you can implement this some way! for the help
I've no idea if this is possible or in the works but I am wondering if the IPTV part of TVServer could be upgraded to support M3U8, HTTPS, HLS or whatever is needed for newer IPTV connections?

Does anyone else have problem with long (several hours) pauses of TV broadcasts?
If I pause and forget, I can still resume TV the next day, but if I try to change channel or stop, MP freezes.
Only way to fix is to restart both MP and TV Service. Sometimes I need to restart PC
It seems that TVServer cannot proprtly handle large...

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal.
Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...
