Hello

I have been trying out 1.0RC2 build - I'm a newcomer, never used MediaPortal before.
While I can get the DVB-T tuners working without any problems, the analogue tuners are crashing the TV Service.
I read other posts about this problem, and I also read that this was fixed in later SVN builds, but I tried both RC2, latest RC1 SVN build and also the RC1 SVN build, which ppl were reporting to be working, but all of the versions give me the same results - Crashed TV Service.

The logfiles attached was created from a clean install of RC2, so it contains info about building SQL Server database, grouping the Hybrid tuners and tuning the DVB-T devices too.

What I did was:
- Install MediaPortal 1.0RC2 using default settings
- Added a DVB-T Tuning parameters for my area to the xml-file
- Started TV-Server config
- Grouped the Hybrid tuners together
- Tuned both digital tuners using my own added tuning profile
- Clicked scan channels on 1st analog tuner - Crash!

    Hi,
I can't see any reason why the TvServer is crashing. Perhaps you have put the wrong tuner into a hybrid card.
You should try the analog tuners while the digital tuners are disabled.

BTW: dman made the fix for the HVR-2200.

Well, I know for a fact that the analog tuners are working, because I have them running in Windows Media Center without any problems, but thatt program is total and utter crap. That's why I was trying to get this program working :)
If you have some debug-version of the TVServer service I can try, and tell me how, I will gladly make some stack traces for you, so you can see whats going on inside.

special thanks for following the guideline and providing all required logs for the developers! :)
Glad I did it the right way. It also annoys me a lot, when ppl ignore forum guidelines and post crap like "It doesnt work fix it plx!!", so I try to do it the right way myself :)

It works perfectly for me. I have only scanned one of the two tuners so far, though. I will do a channel scan for the second tuner right away. Isn't there a way of mapping the already found channels for the first tuner to the second tuner, without re-scanning the second tuner?

"Later":I am now finished mapping the channels found with the first tuner to the second tuner. I did not scan any channels with the second tuner. Was this a correct step? However, when I set to record one channel, I should be able to watch TV with my second tuner, but MP says no free cards exist. Please advise me what could be wrong. :(

Hmmm. I can see that you are using Win XP (32-bit, i pressume?), while I am running Win Vista 64-bit. Perhaps there is a difference in the drivers between XP 32-bit and Vista 64-bit, that could be causing my problems?

What patches is that? I can't find anything about any patches in the documentation. I am using RC2, aren't all patches already included in this?

What I'm tried to explain is that you should try the analog tuners with the digital tuners disabled. This way we can check if it is a general problem or a problem of the hybrid configuration.
I think that your hybrid configuration is wrong. The reason is that you can use a hybrid tuner only for analog or digital tuner. It is not possible to use a hybrid tuner for analog and digital at the same time. Therefor we should check first, if the analog tuners are working in general.
