Looks like this also is significantly different from my problems.
TVservice.exe does not crash, it simply stops responding (see logfile in my second post).

You're not alone... it happens to me as well... Since then, I have created a terminal services connection to my server and set it to run a batch file when logging in that restarts the TV Service... after this is done, the TV works fine... but only about 1 in 10 scheduled recordings actually work due to the TV Service not responding. I even tried scheduling a service restart at 5AM everyday but this didn't change anything.
