Synopsis::

Can't detect my Twhinhan DVB-C card (model VP-2033: http://www.twinhan.com/product_cable_2033.asp). I have tried bot h Twinhans BDA drivers without any luck? Has anyone got this card detected in MP?

Or could an out-dated CaptureCardDefinitions.xml cause this? How can I check this? Tried to open it but too much info, found lots of Twinhan cards and numers but they didn´t tell me that much..

That card is pretty new i think. I have the Twinhan Cab CI (vp2031) up and running just fine. I wonder what the difference is, the specs for the two cards seem entirely identical.

I suspect that it is exactly the CaptureCardsDefinitions.xml file thats at fault, i dont know how to fix it though.

Hi,

If I'm not mistaken it looks like the capturecarddefinitions.xml already has this card in it. So, it should work... Please start setup, try to add a capture card, close setup and post the mediaportal.log @ http://mp.pastebin.com . Post a link to the logfile here so we can take a look.

Unfortunately this didn´t do the trick. I´ve tried to add mcmatrix answer to my CaptureCardDefinitions.xlm but it didn´t work ( BDA drivers 1.0.1.6, release date: 21.4.2006 ).

Does anyone have a nice tip how to get older drivers installed back? I´ve tried to rightclick MtsBda.inf and MtsHID.inf -> install but there is still in device manager the newest drivers in use. Or am I installing these drivers wrong?

BTW, what does this mean in .xml file:
devid="ven_1822&amp;dev_4e35&amp;subsys_00081822&amp;Rev_01">

But as far as I can see there is no critical errors in my log (except HCW error but I´ll guess this has nothing to do with my TV card problem? )

I have same card and same driver version but i dont use MP
at the moment maybe i will use it in the future ( release 2 )
So i have carelessly deleted my modification.

Didn´t know that .xlm was case sensitive. B I G diffrence between R and r

No not the char "R". MP compares devid and capturename
Wrong one was "DTV-DVB Mantis DVBC BDA Receiver". Correct one is "DTV-DVB Mantis Virtual BDA Receiver"

What kind of new errors, maybe i can help.

My Twinhan 2033 card was working with MP. I had only one big problem but i think this was driver problem ( transponder freq. 162Mhz wasnt stable, all other freq were ok)
