Drop WonkyD a PM once you've done and ask him to add them to the pack.
That way they'll be there for the updated MPEI.

    And thanks :)

Hmm.. Having never used Photoshop before, I'm struggling to figure out how to use the template..

    Can someone explain please?! Hehe!

Hmm... I think I just edited the logo I wanted (i.e. contrast, +1, brightness etc), I then cropped it/resized to match the size of the template, highlighted it all (Ctrl +A), copied it (Ctrl+C), and then pasted it (Ctrl+V) into the template as another layer. I then arranged the layers accordingly so the 'glossy' was on top and adjusted the transparency of the 'glossy' layer to get best effect.

Probably not what seasoned photo-shoppers do, but it worked for me.

Ok.. you may as well have been speaking double dutch on that previous post, with layers and transparency!

My forte is network infrastructure/servers unfortunately! I've downloaded a load of the missing logos, just need to figure out how to make them look nice and glossy!

I'll continue to have a play around - I'm using CS4, since that is all we have in work - we are closing down, and the designers have all left, so no one to ask anymore!

If you send me the missing logos you have and the template, I'll have a go. I have a little experience with this sort of stuff.

    That's very kind!

I've attached some of the missing logos - some of the plus 1 logos are just duplicates of the normal one though, so leave those until I can find some better ones...

Template is on first post, and I have also included it in the zip file.

They will need renaming to the correct channel names once they are done, which I can do no problem...

I hope these icons look ok - I didn't grab the hires ones as they seemed to be too big?

Think of the layers as sheets of plastic on an OHP - then simply create a layer at the top of the pile and add a nice gradient to create the 'glossy' look

I'm confused...I can only see finished logos in this ZIP file. No template or unformatted missing logos.

They are finished logos.. They need the template applying to make them into glossy logos..

The template is in the zip file, it's template.psd...

It should be a case of opening the psd template then I think theres a layer called "overlay" and another called background. If you double click on the background then you should see that two items are ticked. These are the primary background colours, you can edit these so they are inline with the logo you are using. Try to use a colour that goes with the palette the broadcaster uses either onscreen or online. If nothing really fits, grey or black are usually good fallbacks. :)

Oh and try not to make the logo inside too big, no more than 90px (i think the template is 100px). You can also quite cleanly drop the standard non-glossy logos onto the glossy template to easily generate a glossy logo.
